URSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928 and the Electric
Power Boards Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-
General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

LICENCE

  1. This Order may be cited as the Opunake Electric Power
    Board Electric Lines Licence 1955.

  2. Subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, the
    Opunake Electric Power Board (hereinafter referred to as the
    licensee) is hereby authorized to lay, construct, put up, place,
    and use electric lines, and to construct electric works within
    the area of supply described in the Schedule hereto.

  3. The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by
    the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical
    Wiring Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated herein and
    shall form part of this licence, except in so far as they may
    be inconsistent with the provisions of this licence.

  4. The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance by
    the licensee with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the
    Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference
    Regulations 1934, and with all regulations made in amend-
    ment thereof or in substitution therefor, except in so far as
    they may be inconsistent with the provisions of this licence.

  5. The systems of supply shall be as described in paragraphs
    (a), (c), (d), (e), (f), and (h) of regulation 21-01 of the
    Electrical Supply Regulations 1935.

  6. This licence shall, unless it is sooner lawfully determined,
    continue in force until the 24th day of January 1965.

  7. The Order in Council dated the 24th day of January
    1923, and published in the Gazette on the 1st day of February
    1923, authorizing the licensee to use water for the purpose of
    generating electricity and to use certain electric lines, as
    amended by the Order in Council dated the 19th day of
    September 1927, and published in the Gazette on the 22nd
    day of the same month, at page 2902, is hereby revoked in so
    far as it authorizes the licensee to use electric lines, but not
    in so far as it authorizes the licensee to use water for the
    purpose of generating electricity.

  8. The Order in Council dated the 18th day of February
    1924, and published in the Gazette on the 21st day of the
    same month, authorizing the licensee to use certain electric
    lines is hereby revoked.

URSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency
the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council, hereby directs the sale of
the land described in the Schedule hereto, the land being no
longer required for the purpose for which it was taken.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land directed to be sold:
3·3 perches.

Being part Section 46, Porirua District.

Authorising the Laying-off of a Street Off the Dunedin-Gore
State Highway in the Borough of Green Island Subject to
a Condition as to the Building Line

URSUANT to section 186 of the Municipal Corporations
Act 1954 and section 125 of the Public Works Act 1928,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorizes
the Green Island Borough Council to permit the laying-off of
the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto at a
width for parts of its length of less than 66 ft. but not less
than 40 ft. subject to the condition that no building or part
of a building shall at any time be erected on the land shown
edged green (except Lots 13 and 14) on the plan marked
P.W.D. 146096 referred to in the said Schedule within a
distance of 15 ft. of the side line of the said street.

SCHEDULE

That proposed street in the Otago Land District, Borough
of Green Island, containing by admeasurement 1 acre and 10·12
perches, more or less, being parts of Lots 29, 37, and 38, D.P.
2282, being parts of Sections 99, 100, and 101, Block V,
Lower Kaitoki Survey District.

As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan
marked P.W.D. 146096 deposited in the office of the Minister
of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Altering Representation on the Nelson Catchment Board

URSUANT to the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control
Act 1941, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council,
hereby amends the Order in Council dated the 11th day of
August 1943, and published in Gazette, 12 August 1943, Vol.
II, page 975, appointing the number of members and apportion-
ing representation on the Nelson Catchment Board, by deleting
the words “the Nelson Catchment Board shall consist of nine
elective members and five non-elective members”, and substitut-
ing the words “the Nelson Catchment Board shall consist of
nine elective members and four non-elective members”, and
further hereby amends the Order in Council dated the 3rd day
of August 1949, and published in Gazette, 4 August 1949,
Vol. II, page 1625, appointing non-elective members of the
Nelson Catchment Board (a) by deleting the word “five”
from the heading and (b) by inserting the word “and” before
“Commissioner of Crown Lands” and (c) by deleting the
words “and Director, Cawthron Institute, Nelson”.

Declaring Portion of a Road in the Bay of Islands County
to be County Road

URSUANT to section 112 of the Public Works Act 1928,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders
and declares that the portion of road described in the Schedule
hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council,
become county road.

SCHEDULE

ALL that portion of road in the North Auckland Land District,
situated in Blocks X and XIV, Kawakawa Survey District,
commencing at the easternmost corner of Section 68, Pakaraka
Settlement, on the Whangarei-Awanui State Highway, and
proceeding thence in a south-westerly direction generally for
a distance of approximately 94 chains and terminating approxi-
mately 2 chains south of the westernmost corner of Section 138,
Pakaraka Settlement. (S.O. 20122 and 20489.)

As the same is more particularly delineated on the plans
marked P.W.D. 146164 and P.W.D. 146163 deposited in the
office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon
coloured red and marked A–B and B–C respectively.
