of Te Puke; thence along a right line to and along the northern, eastern, and southern boundaries of the Te Puke Borough aforesaid, as described in New Zealand Gazette, No. 23, of the 11th day of April 1935, page 1047, to and up the middle of the Ohineangaanga Stream to a point in line with the northern boundary of Section 18, Block VI, Maketu Survey District; thence along a right line to and along the northern and north-eastern boundaries of Section 18 aforesaid, and along a right line being the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of No. 2 Road; thence along the middle of that road to a point in line with the southern boundary of Section 16, Block VI aforesaid; thence easterly generally to and along the southern and eastern boundaries of Section 16 aforesaid, the eastern boundary of part Section 15, Block VI, aforesaid, to and along the southern boundary of Section 10, Block VI aforesaid, and along a right line being that boundary produced across No. 1 Road; thence along the eastern side of that road, to and along the southern boundary of Section 5, Block VI aforesaid, to the left bank aforesaid, to and westerly generally up the middle of the Mangatoki Stream, to and along the northern boundaries of Sections 5 and 4, Block XVI, Otanewainuku Survey District, to the north-western corner of Section 4 aforesaid; thence northerly generally along the eastern boundaries of Waoku Nos. 2 and 2b Blocks, the eastern and northern boundaries of Waoku No. 2a Block, to and along the eastern boundaries of Lot 11 and part Lot 10 on D.P. 1042, being part of Waitaha No. 2 Block, and along a right line, being the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of the Waitao Stream, and down the middle of that stream to and along the eastern shores of the Tauranga Harbour to the point of commencement.

THE RIGHT HON. S. G. LIJLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to subsection (2) of section 3 of the Swamp Drainage Amendment Act 1948, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby constitutes the land described in the Schedule hereto, being portion of the Waihi Drainage Area constituted by Order in Council dated the 21st day of February 1927, and published in New Zealand Gazette of the 24th day of that month, a special subdivision to be known as the Southern Pumping Area Special Subdivision.
SCHEDULE
SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
The Southern Pumping Area of Portions of the Kaikokopu and Central Subdivisions of the Waihi Drainage Area
ALL that area containing approximately 1,160 acres, bounded by a line commencing at the north-western corner of Section 26 of Block II, Waihi South Survey District, and running easterly along the southern side of Waeranga Road to the easternmost corner of Section 82 of Block II aforesaid; thence southerly along the western side of the public road forming the eastern boundaries of part Section 38, and of Sections 29, 42, and 43, to the easternmost corner of that last-mentioned section; thence south-westerly along the north-western boundaries of Sections 44, 46, 47, 48, 49, and 50, and along a right line being the last-mentioned boundary produced to the Paeroa-Whakatane State Highway; thence north-westerly generally along the northern and north-eastern sides of that highway to a point on the south-western boundary of Section 38, distant 2 chains from the western corner of the said Section 38, and along a right line running due west for a distance of 14 chains; thence northerly generally along another right line to a point on the south-western boundary of Section 37, distant 2 chains from the western corner of that section, and again along the north-eastern and northern sides of the Paeroa-Whakatane State Highway aforesaid, to and along the eastern sides of the public road forming the western boundaries of Sections 22a and 52, the north-western boundary of Section 23, and the western boundaries of Sections 24, 25, and 26, the aforesaid sections all being of Block II aforesaid, to the point of commencement. As shown on the plan marked L and S. 15/24/6, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Altering the Boundaries of the Otago and the Southland Land, Registration, and Land Registration Districts

WHEREAS by subsection (3) (b) of section 22 of the Land Act 1948, subsection (1) of section 4 of the Deeds Registration Act 1908, and subsection (2) of section 3 of the Land Transfer Act 1952, it is enacted that the Governor-General, by Order in Council, may from time to time alter the boundaries of any land district, registration district, and land registration district respectively:
And whereas it is desirable to alter the boundaries of the districts described in the Schedules hereto:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the hereinbefore-in-part-recited Acts His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that from and after the date hereof the boundaries of the Otago Land, Registration, and Land Registration Districts shall be as described in the First Schedule hereto; and the boundaries of the Southland Land, Registration, and Land Registration Districts shall be as described in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
OTAGO LAND, REGISTRATION, AND LAND REGISTRATION DISTRICTS
ALL that area in the Dominion of New Zealand bounded by a line commencing at the mouth of the Awarua River on the northern shore of Awarua or Big Bay; thence proceeding south-easterly along a straight line to Mount Aspiring; thence generally north-easterly along the summit of the Southern Alps to Mount Hopkins; thence generally southerly to the source of the Hopkins River and along the middle of that river to Lake Ohau; thence generally westerly and south-easterly along the northern, western, and southern shores of Lake Ohau to the Ohau River; thence generally south-easterly down the middle of the Ohau River to and down the middle of the Waitaki River to its mouth; thence generally south-westerly along the sea coast to the eastern boundary of Waikawa Survey District; thence generally north-westerly along the eastern and northern boundaries of Waikawa Survey District to and along the eastern boundary of Mokoreta Survey District to the south-eastern boundary of Lot 6, on Deposited Plan No. 3411, Southland Registry; thence generally north-easterly and north-westerly along that boundary, the southern boundary of Lot 1 on the said deposited plan, the south-eastern, eastern, and northern boundaries of Lot 5, on Deposited Plan No. 3412, Southland Registry, and the north-eastern and northern boundaries of Lot 4 on the said Deposited Plan No. 3412; thence generally northerly along the western boundary of Run 258 and north-westerly along the south-western boundaries of Run 258, Section 6, Block VI, Slopedown Survey District, and again Run 258; thence north-easterly along the north-western boundary of Run 258 and its production to the eastern boundary of the Slopedown Survey District; thence generally northerly and westerly along the eastern and northern boundaries of that Survey District to the eastern boundary of Waikaka Survey District; thence northerly along that boundary to the southern boundary of Crichton Park Settlement; thence easterly and generally northerly and north-westerly along the southern, eastern, and north-eastern boundaries of that Settlement to the eastern boundary of Waikaka Survey District; thence northerly and westerly along the eastern and northern boundaries of that District to the eastern boundary of Chatton Survey District; thence northerly and westerly along the eastern and northern boundaries of that District to the eastern boundary of Wendon Survey District; thence northerly along that boundary to the southern boundary of Run 175c; thence westerly and northerly along the southern and western boundaries of Run 175c to its north-western corner; thence to and generally north-westerly and north-easterly along the south-western and north-western boundaries of Run 697, the north-western boundaries of Runs 253, 610, 609, 608, and the northern boundary of Run 608 and its production to the middle of the Pomahaka River; thence generally northerly up the middle of the Pomahaka River to its northernmost intersection with the western boundary of Run 425c; thence northerly along that boundary to the northern boundary of Whitecomb Survey District; thence north-easterly along a straight line to the south-western corner of Run 4258; thence generally north-westerly along the south-western boundaries of Runs 425B, 249A, Crown Land, and Run 339F, and westerly along the southern boundary of Run 339c and its production to the middle of the Nevis River; thence south-westerly up the middle of the Nevis River to the north-eastern boundary of Run 323A; thence north-westerly along that boundary to its northernmost point; thence south-westerly and north-westerly generally along the south-eastern and south-western boundaries of Run 354b and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the shore of Lake Wakatipu; thence generally north-westerly along the southern and western shores of Lake Wakatipu to the Greenstone River; thence up the middle of that river to and along the generally southern and western boundaries of Run 431
