Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the leasehold estate in the land described in the Schedule hereto, held by the Wairoa Finance Company, Limited, for a term of ninety-nine years from the 2nd day of February 1876, under and by virtue of Memorandum of Lease No. 252 (Auckland Land Registry), is hereby taken for the Auckland University College; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 8th day of February 1954.
