'That it has been proved to the satisfaction of this
meeting that the company cannot by reason of its liabilities
continue its business, and accordingly that the company be
wound up voluntarily, and that Messrs P. C. Browne and
Murray, of Christchurch, Public Accountants, be and are
hereby appointed liquidators for the purposes of such winding-
up.'

RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE
Plimmerton-Paremata Water Reticulation Loan 1954, £76,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Hutt
County Council hereby resolves as follows:
'That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest,
and other charges on a loan of £76,000, authorized to be
raised by the Hutt County Council under the above-mentioned
Act for the purposes of providing a water supply to the
Plimmerton, Dolly Varden, Paremata, and Golden Gate areas
of the Hutt County, the said Hutt County Council hereby makes
and levies a special rate of threepence (3d.) in the pound
upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the unimproved
value) of all rateable property of the Plimmerton-Paremata
Special Rating Area No. 54 of the County of Hutt, comprising:
All that area in the Hutt County, Wellington Land District,
bounded by a line commencing at a point on the sea-coast
10 chains north of the south-western corner of Hongoeka,
Section 3c 1, situated in Block V, Paekakariki Survey District,
and proceeding by a right line in a north-easterly direction
for a distance of 4 chains at right angles to the sea-coast;
thence in a south-easterly direction by a line generally parallel
to the sea-coast to the north-eastern corner of Lot 1 on plan
numbered 16130 deposited in the office of the District Land
Registrar at Wellington; thence south-easterly generally along
the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 on plan
numbered 16130 aforesaid, to the south-eastern corner of the
last-mentioned lot; thence in a north-easterly direction along
the north-western boundary of Hongoeka, Section 1A 2, to the
northernmost corner of Lot 1 on plan numbered 6067 de-
posited as aforesaid; thence south-easterly along the north-
eastern boundary of the said Lot 1, across Cluny Road, and

across the Wellington-Paekakariki State Highway to the

eastern boundary of the Wellington-Manawatu Railway; thence
north-easterly generally along the western boundary of the
aforesaid railway to the Paremata Railway Bridge; thence
northerly across the bridge aforesaid to the western side of
the railway; thence northerly along the western side of the
railway aforesaid to its intersection with the sea-coast north
of Dolly Varden; thence northerly generally along the sea
coast to a point 10 chains north of the south-western corner
of Hongoeka Section 3c 1, situated in Block V, Paekakariki
Survey District, the point of commencement; and that such
special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of such loan and be repayable yearly on the 1st day
of July in each and every year during the currency of such
loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully
paid off.'
We certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a resolution
passed at a meeting of the Hutt County Council on the 9th
day of December 1954.
The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabi-
tants of the County of Hutt was hereunto affixed this 9th day
