POVERTY BAY CATCHMENT BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Garage and Store Loan 1954, £3,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926 and amendments thereto, the Poverty Bay Catchment Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of three thousand pounds (£3,000), to be known as the Garage and Store Loan 1954, £3,000, authorized to be raised by the Poverty Bay Catchment Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing land and erecting a garage and store thereon, the said Poverty Bay Catchment Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·0035d. (decimal nought nought three five pence) in the pound (£1) on a uniform scale upon the rateable value (upon basis of capital value) of all rateable property within the Poverty Bay Catchment District, and such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be due and payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of eight (8) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed at a duly constituted meeting of the Poverty Bay Catchment Board held on the 9th day of December 1954.

Worker's Dwelling Loan 1954, £3,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926 and amendments thereto, the Poverty Bay Catchment Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of three thousand pounds (£3,000), to be known as the Worker’s Dwelling Loan 1954, £3,000, authorized to be raised by the Poverty Bay Catchment Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing a worker’s dwelling, the said Poverty Bay Catchment Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of three one-thousandths (0·003d.) of a penny in the pound (£) on a uniform scale upon the rateable value (upon the basis of capital value) of all rateable property within the Poverty Bay Catchment District, and such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be due and payable on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928

NOTICE is hereby given that the Auckland City Council proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act to execute a certain public work, namely, the provision of a street, and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk at the Town Hall, Auckland, and it is open for public inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land who have well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing and send the same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk, Town Hall, Auckland.

SCHEDULE

2 roods 15 perches, more or less, being part Lot 39 on Deposited Plan 2708, being portion of Allotments 173 and 178 of Section 16, Suburbs of Auckland, and part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 203, folio 124, Auckland Registry.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928

NOTICE is hereby given that the Auckland City Council proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act to execute a certain public work, namely, the provision of a municipal depot, and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk at the Town Hall, Auckland, and it is open for public inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

“That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that Mr Herbert Frederick Owen Twigden, of Auckland, Public Accountant, be and he is hereby appointed liquidator of the company.”

KAITAI BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Sewerage Loan 1954, £20,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Kaitaia Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of twenty thousand pounds, authorized to be raised by the Kaitaia Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of developing and constructing a sewerage disposal scheme within the Borough of Kaitaia, the said Kaitaia Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two pennies and one hundredth of one penny in the pound (£1) on all rateable property of the Borough of Kaitaia; and that such a rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable annually on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
