OHINEMURI COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Owharoa Bridge Loan 1954, £3,500

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Ohinemuri County Council hereby resolves as follows:

‘‘That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £3,500, authorized to be raised by the Ohinemuri County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing the Council’s share of the cost of rebuilding portion of Owharoa Bridge, Waikino, the said Ohinemuri County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅙d. (one-sixteenth of a penny) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the County of Ohinemuri; and that such special rate shall be an annually-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 24th day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 20 (twenty) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.’’

I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Ohinemuri County Council at a meeting of the said Council held on the 10th day of November 1954.

FEILDING BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Feilding Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

‘‘That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on the Housing Loan of £9,700 (1954), authorized to be raised by the Feilding Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting a dwelling for use by a borough employee, the said Feilding Borough Council hereby makes and levies a rate of nineteen two-hundredths of a penny (0·095d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of unimproved value) of all rateable property within the Borough of Feilding; and that such special rate be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off.’’

The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Feilding Borough Council held on the 14th day of October 1954.

PANMURE TOWNSHIP ROAD BOARD

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Panmure Township Road Board, at its meeting held on the 20th day of July 1954, has resolved to prepare for the Road District a district scheme as required by the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.

Every person and every local authority in the district is hereby invited to submit any proposal which in his or its opinion should be considered in the preparation of the proposed scheme.

Proposals marked ‘‘Panmure Township Road District Scheme’’ should be addressed to the Clerk, and delivered at the Clerk’s Office on or before the 31st day of January 1955.

THE DUNEDIN CO-OPERATIVE BOOK SOCIETY LIMITED

NOTICE OF VOLUNTARY WINDING-UP RESOLUTION

In the matter of the Industrial and Provident Societies Act 1908, and in the matter of the Dunedin Co-operative Book Society Limited.

NOTICE is hereby given that at a special general meeting of the above society held on 13 October 1954 it was resolved that the society cannot by reason of its liabilities continue in business and that the society be accordingly wound up voluntarily.

Notices of claims by creditors or others should be sent to the liquidator, care of the Society’s Office, 25 Moray Place, Dunedin.

FEATHERSTON COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Roads and Bridges Loan, £30,000 (First Portion £11,000)

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 and the Local Government Loans Board Act 1926 and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Featherston County Council hereby resolves as follows:

‘‘That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest and principal on the Featherston County Roads and Bridges Loan of eleven thousand pounds (£11,000) 1953, authorized to be raised by the Featherston County Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of effecting improvements to roads and bridges in the county, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three twenty-fifths (3/25d.) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the County of Featherston; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off.’’

AUCKLAND METROPOLITAN DRAINAGE BOARD

LOAN No. 19, 1954, £2,700,000 (FIRST ISSUE £500,000)

Special Order

THE Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Board doth hereby in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Act 1944, and in pursuance of the authority conferred on it under the Local Bodies’ Finance Act 1921-22, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Local Government Loans Board Act 1926, and their respective amendments, and in exercise of all other powers enabling it in that behalf resolve, by special resolution intended to operate as a special order, to borrow the sum of five hundred thousand pounds (£500,000) as a special loan and to be portion of a special loan to be known as Loan No. 19, 1954, £2,700,000, to be applied for the purpose of constructing the first portion of the Manukau Scheme of main drainage for the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage District, including more particularly the construction of portion of the main sewers, pumping stations, treatment plant, workshop, the manufacture or acquisition of pipes, plant, and other necessary assets, and the carrying out of works connected with or incidental to the scheme, the payment of preliminary expenses including fees and investigational costs, and meeting loan costs.

The foregoing special order was made by way of a special resolution passed at a meeting of the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Board and held on the 20th day of October 1954. It was publicly notified in the Auckland Star on the 23rd day of October 1954 and the 6th day of November 1954. It was confirmed at a meeting of the Board convened by resolution of the Board on the 20th day of October 1954 and held on the 17th day of November 1954.

The common seal of the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Board was hereto affixed this 17th day of November 1954 in the presence of—
