LOCALITY of the race, and of its starting and terminal points: Commencing in Lug Creek on applicant’s property, being Run 312A, Strath Taieri District, about half a mile from the south-eastern boundary of the said run, running thence in a south-easterly direction to a terminating point about 500 yards from the commencing point.
Length and intended course of race: 500 yards south-easterly.
Points of intake: One in Lug Creek.
Estimated time and cost of construction: 1 week; £20.
Mean depth and breadth: 9 in. by 1 ft.
Number of heads to be diverted: 1 head.
Purpose for which water is to be used: Irrigation and watering stock.
Proposed term of licence: twenty-one years.

RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL
SPECIAL ORDER CONSTITUTING TE KOHANGA DRAINAGE DISTRICT NO. 1
In pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 168 of the Counties Act 1920, the Raglan County Council, on the petition of the majority of the ratepayers of the district described below, resolves and declares by way of special order as follows:

That part of the County described in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared a district for the purpose of the construction and maintenance of drainage works therein.

The name of the said district shall be the Te Kohanga Drainage District No. 1.

The special order shall take effect on the 1st day of January 1954.
SCHEDULE
DESCRIPTION of Area: All that area in the South Auckland Land District, situated in the Raglan County and in the Onewhero Parish in Blocks II, III, VI, and VII, Onewhero Survey District, containing by admeasurement approximately 2,785 acres, bounded by a line commencing at the northernmost corner of Allotment 99N, Section 1 of Onewhero Parish, and running south-easterly generally and then north-easterly generally along the northern boundary of the said Allotment 99N, Section 1, to the western boundary of Frost’s Road; thence southerly generally along the western boundary of the aforesaid road to its junction with the Port Waikato–Tuakau Bridge Road; thence across the last-mentioned road to the northernmost corner of Lot 4, D.P. 12858; thence south-westerly generally along the southern boundary of the said Lot 4, to and along the southern boundary of Lot 5, D.P. 12858 to the southernmost corner of the said Lot 5, D.P. 12858, being also the easternmost corner of Lot 2, D.P. 16829; thence south-westerly generally along the south-easterly boundary of the said Lot 2 to the northern side of the Kohanga Road; thence westerly generally and north-westerly generally along the Kohanga Road to the southernmost boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 18003; thence north-easterly generally and north-westerly generally to the northernmost corner of the said Lot 3 at its junction with the Kohanga Road; thence north-westerly generally along the north-east side of the said road to the southernmost corner of D.P. 20191; thence north-easterly generally and north-westerly generally along the eastern boundaries of the said D.P. 20191 to the southern side of the Port Waikato–Tuakau Bridge Road; thence north-easterly generally along the last-mentioned road to the northernmost corner of Lot 1, D.P. 13737; thence north-westerly generally across the said road and along the south-eastern boundary of Allotment 70B, Onewhero Parish, to Trig. 5, Tikorangi; thence north-westerly generally along the southern boundary of Allotment 70C, Onewhero Parish, to the eastern side of the Kohanga Store Road; thence north-easterly generally along the eastern side of the Kohanga Store Road to the southern side of the Tawa Tawa Stream; thence easterly generally along the southern side of the Tawa Tawa Stream to a point opposite the boundary of Lot 4, D.P. 14113; thence north-easterly generally across the Tawa Tawa Stream and along the north-western boundary of the said Lot 4 to the south-western corner of Lot 2, D.P. 32603; thence north-easterly generally and northerly generally along the eastern boundaries of D.P. 32603 to the north-westerly corner of the said D.P. 32603; thence westerly generally along the southern boundary of Lot 8, D.P. 12858, to the westernmost corner of the said Lot 8, D.P. 12858; thence northerly generally along the western boundary of Lot 8, D.P. 12858, to and along the western boundaries of Allotment 99K, Section 1, Part Allotments 99L, 99M, Section 1, and 99N, Section 1, Onewhero Parish, to the point of commencement.
