HUTT COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Days Bay Water and Sewerage Additional Loan 1953, £6,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Hutt County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“ That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £6,000 authorized to be raised by the Hutt County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing the provision of water and drainage for the residents of Days Bay in the County of Hutt, the Hutt County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of four-fifths of a penny in the pound to be made and levied upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Days Bay Special Rating Areas as defined in the New Zealand Gazette No. 1 of the 11th day of January 1951 at page 29; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

We hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Hutt County Council held at Wellington on the 21st day of January 1954.

The Common Seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Hutt was hereunto affixed this 21st day of January 1954 in the presence of—

RESOLUTION TO MAKE SPECIAL RATE

Kapiti Riding Improvement Loan 1953, £15,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Hutt County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“ That, for the purposes of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £15,000 authorized to be raised by the Hutt County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of undertaking road works, improving and developing Domain Board lands, and constructing public conveniences and bathing sheds at Paraparaumu and Raumati beaches, the said Hutt County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one farthing in the pound upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Kapiti Riding of the County of Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

KAITAIA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loan Act 1926, the Kaitaia Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of two thousand five hundred pounds authorized to be raised by the Kaitaia Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting a worker’s dwelling, the said Kaitaia Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of thirty-three one hundredths of one penny in the one pound (£1) on all rateable property of the Borough of Kaitaia, and that such a rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable annually on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
