MURCHISON COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in
it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926,
the Murchison County Council hereby resolves as follows:
'That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on the loan of £4,500, authorized to be raised by the
Murchison County Council under the above-mentioned Act,
for the purpose of the electrical reticulation of the Matiri
Valley settlers, the said Murchison County Council hereby
pledges as the security for the repayment of the principal
and interest on the loan a special rate of one penny in the
pound upon the whole of the rateable property within the
special electric supply area, on the unimproved values; and
that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring pledged
rate during the currency of such loan and be payable half-
yearly during the currency of such loan, being for a period of
fifteen years.'

Workers' Dwellings Loan 1954 of £12,000
THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926
and all other powers (if any) enabling it, the Taranaki
County Council hereby resolves as follows:
'That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of
interest, principal, and other charges on the Taranaki County
Workers' Dwellings Loan 1954 of £12,000, authorized to be
raised by the Taranaki County Council under the above-
mentioned Act, for the purpose of erecting workers' dwellings,
the said Taranaki County Council hereby makes and levies a
special rate of 0.0771d. in the pound upon the rateable value
(on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable
property in the whole of the County of Taranaki; and that
such special rate shall be an annually recurring special rate
during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly
on the 4th day of July in each and every year during the
currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25)
years, or until the loan is fully paid off.’

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Makara County Highway Reconstruction Loan 1954, £13,100
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Makara
County Council hereby resolves as follows:
'That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £13,100, authorized to be raised by the
Makara County Council under the above-mentioned Act for
the purpose of providing the Council's share of the cost of
reconstructing the Onepoto-Bay Drive section of the No. 458
Porirua-Titahi Bay Main Highway, the said Makara County
Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-tenths
of a penny (3/10d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on
the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property
within the whole of the County of Makara; and that such
special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of such loan and be payable half-yearly on the 15th
day of June and the 15th day of December in each and every
year during the currency of such loan, being a period of
fifteen (15) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.'
I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a
meeting of the Makara County Council held on the 12th day
of November 1954.

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Havelock North
Borough Council, at its meeting held on the 10th day of
November 1954, has resolved to prepare for the Havelock
North Borough a district scheme as required in the provisions
of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.
Every person and every local authority in the district is
hereby invited to submit any proposals which in his or its
opinion should be considered in the preparation of the pro-
posed scheme. Proposals marked 'Havelock North Borough
District Scheme' should be addressed to the Town Clerk,
and delivered at the Town Clerk's office on or before the
31st day of January 1955.
