Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in Wellington Land District
PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby changes the purpose of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto from a road reserve to a reserve for general education.

Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in Westland Land District and Vesting in the Westland County Council
PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby changes the purpose of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto from a reserve for gravel purposes to a reserve for a site for a roadman’s cottage, and, further, vests the said reserve in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Westland, in trust, for that purpose.

Approval of Red Reflectors for Motor Vehicles in Terms of the Traffic Regulations 1936
PURSUANT to clause 26, regulation 7, of the Traffic Regulations 1936, the Minister of Transport hereby approves for the purposes of the said regulation, red reflectors of the make and type described in the Schedule hereto.

1½ in. diameter red reflector manufactured by Joseph Lucas Limited, Birmingham, and being marked ‘‘Lucas N.P.L. 176 England.’’
‘‘Scotchlite’’ wide angle flat top red reflector tape 1 in. wide and a minimum of 5 in. in length.

Revoking Portion of a Warrant Excluding Streets and Roads from Limitation as to Speed, and Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality for the Purposes of the Transport Act 1949, Section 36

PURSUANT to section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby revokes that portion of the Warrant dated the 20th day of December 1937* which applies to the roads described in the First Schedule hereto, and hereby declares the area described in the Second Schedule hereto to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of the said section to the intent that a person driving any motor vehicle on any road therein shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.

FIRST SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Pleasant Point Town District—
Timaru–Queenstown via Tekapo and Lindis Pass Main Highway No. 119 (all that portion from the eastern boundary of Pleasant Point Town District, as now constituted, to a point 5 chains measured along the said main highway in an easterly direction from its junction with George Street, a distance of approximately 42 chains; also all that portion commencing at the western boundary of Pleasant Point Town District, as now constituted, and terminating at a point 20 chains measured along the said main highway in an easterly direction from the said boundary).
Temuka–Pleasant Point Main Highway No. 145 (all that portion from the northern boundary of Pleasant Point Town District, as now constituted, to a point directly opposite the northern boundary of the Pleasant Point School grounds, a distance of approximately 20 chains).

SECOND SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Levels County: All that area at Pleasant Point consisting of—
(1) Timaru–Cromwell via Lindis State Highway No. 60 (that portion commencing at a point 5 chains measured along the said highway generally in a south-easterly direction from its junction with George Street, proceeding thence generally in a westerly direction and terminating at a point 20 chains measured generally in an easterly direction from the junction of the said highway with Maze’s Road, a distance of approximately 75 chains).
(2) Temuka–Pleasant Point Main Highway No. 145 (that portion commencing at its junction with the Timaru–Cromwell via Lindis State Highway No. 60 and terminating at a point on the said main highway opposite the northern boundary of the Pleasant Point School grounds, a distance of approximately 29 chains).
(3) Pleasant Point–Hanging Rock Main Highway No. 666 (that portion commencing at its junction with the Timaru–Cromwell via Lindis State Highway No. 60 and terminating at a point 36 chains measured along the said main highway from the commencing point).
