MATAMATA COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Matamata County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for road; and notice is hereby further given that a plan showing the land proposed to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Clerk of the above Council, situated at Tirau, and is open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the taking of the said land who have any objections thereto must state their objections in writing and lodge the same at the office of the County Clerk within forty days from the date of publication of this notice.

INDUSTRIAL AND PROVIDENT SOCIETIES ACT 1908, SECTION 15

NOTICE is hereby given that an instrument of dissolution has been registered by Auckland Timber Merchants Association Limited and that, unless proceedings to set aside such dissolution be instituted within three months from the date of the New Zealand Gazette containing a copy of this notice, and such dissolution is set aside accordingly, the above-mentioned society will be legally dissolved.

WAIPA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Workers’ Dwelling Loan 1954, £19,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Waipa County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £19,000, authorized to be raised by the Waipa County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing workers’ dwellings for Council employees, the said Waipa County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-eighteenth of a penny (1/18d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the County of Waipa; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be repayable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed at a properly constituted meeting of the Waipa County Council held on the 20th day of September 1954.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Puniu Bridge Loan 1954, £15,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Waipa County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £15,000, authorized to be raised by the Waipa County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing the Council’s share of cost of constructing a new bridge and approaches thereto across the Puniu Stream on the Te Awamutu–Bartons Main Highway, including consulting engineer’s fees for preparation of plans and legalization, the said Waipa County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one twenty-second of a penny (1/22d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the County of Waipa; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be repayable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
