THAMES BOROUGH COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR THE PURPOSE OF A PUBLIC DRAINAGE RESERVE
NOTICE is hereby given that the Thames Borough Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments, to execute a public work (namely, the establishment of a drainage reserve), and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken as aforesaid is deposited in the public office of the said Thames Borough Council, situated at Pollen Street, Thames, and is open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice, to the Thames Borough Council at its said office at Thames, i.e., before the 16th day of November 1954.
SCHEDULE
ALL that piece of land containing 17·9 perches, more or less, situated in the Borough of Thames, being part of the block called Taiuwha A, as comprised and described in Volume 2, D/805, of the Deeds Index, Auckland Deeds Registry, and being the land coloured blue on S.O. Plan 35714.

Notice of Voluntary Winding-up Resolution
NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to section 22 of the Companies Act 1933, that the following special resolution was passed by way of an entry in the minute book, signed as provided by subsection 1 of section 300 of the Companies Act 1933, on the 27th day of September 1954:
“1. That the company be wound up voluntarily.
“2. That Mr Robert Hawley Lee Goddin, Accountant, of Hamilton, be and is hereby appointed liquidator of the company.”

AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
NOTICE is hereby given that, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1933 and amendments, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act 1951, the Local Government Loans Board Act 1926 and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of three hundred and thirty-three thousand pounds (£333,000), to be known as the Waterworks Loan 1953, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of installing water feeder mains and reticulation work and the erection of a reservoir on Three Kings, Mount Roskill, and meeting the cost of raising the loan, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny (1d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the City of Auckland; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The above is a certified copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Auckland City Council held on the 26th day of November 1953.

THE liquidator of Staincraft Metals Limited, which is being wound up voluntarily, doth hereby fix the 21st day of October 1954 as the day on or before which the creditors of the company are to prove their debts or claims, and to establish any title they may have to priority under section 258 of the Act, or to be excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before such debts are proved, or, as the case may be, from objecting to such distribution.
