NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Counties Act 1920 and the Public Works Act 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Otamatea County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work (namely, the making of a road), and for the purpose of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and notice is further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the office of the Otamatea County Council, at Paparoa, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the Otamatea County Council Office at Paparoa.

In the matter of the Wellington City Empowering and Amendment Act 1924, the Public Works Act 1928, and the Municipal Corporations Act 1933, and their respective amendments.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington City Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-named Acts and all other Acts, powers, and authorities enabling it in that behalf, to execute a certain public work (namely, for a street at Karori Road and South Karori Road in the City of Wellington), and for the purpose of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the Public Office of the Town Clerk to the said Council in the Town Hall, Cuba Street, in the said City, and is there open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or the taking of such lands, should, if they have well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Wellington City Council addressed to the Town Clerk at his said office.

SCHEDULE

ALL those pieces of land situate in the City of Wellington containing by admeasurement, firstly, ninety-five one hundredths perches (0·95 perches), more or less, being part of closed road being part of Lot 3 on Deposited Plan 266, being the land more particularly shown on S.O. Plan 23128, and thereon coloured sepia; and secondly, three and forty-three one hundredths perches (3·43 perches), more or less, being part of section 44, Karori District, being part of Lot 8 on Deposited Plan 7228, being the land more particularly shown on S.O. Plan 23128, and thereon coloured orange.

Notice of Meeting of Creditors

In the matter of the Companies Act 1933, and in the matter of Reid’s Peninsula Stores Limited.

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to section 300 of the Companies Act 1933, Reid’s Peninsula Stores Limited has duly entered in its minute book, on Tuesday, the 5th day of October 1954, the following extraordinary resolutions:

‘‘1. That the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up, and that the company be wound up voluntarily.

‘‘2. That Mr K. N. McGillivray, of Christchurch, Public Accountant, be and is hereby appointed liquidator of the company.’’

And that a meeting of the creditors of the said company will be held, pursuant to section 234 of the Companies Act 1933, in the Chamber of Commerce Hall, corner of Oxford Terrace and Worcester Street, Christchurch, on Thursday, the 14th day of October 1954, at 2.30 o’clock in the afternoon, at which meeting a full statement of the position of the company’s affairs, together with a list of the creditors and the estimated amount of their claims, will be laid before the meeting, and at which meeting the creditors, in pursuance of section 235 of the said Act, may nominate a person to be the liquidator of the company, and in pursuance of section 236 of the said Act, may appoint a committee of inspection.
