A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for road ; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 11th day of October 1954.

Revoking Order in Council Licensing the Northern Wairoa Co-operative Dairy Company Limited to Use and Occupy a Part of the Foreshore at Mangawhare, Northern Wairoa, as a Site for a Slipway

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington, this 29th day of September 1954

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the 4th day of July 1951 and published in the Gazette of the 12th day of the same month, at page 978, the Northern Wairoa Co-operative Dairy Company Limited was licensed to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and land below low-water mark at Mangawhare, in the Northern Wairoa River, as a site for a slipway.

And whereas it is desirable to revoke the said Order in Council:

Now, therefore, pursuant to the provisions of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby revokes as from the 31st day of March 1954 the hereinbefore-recited Order in Council.

Modifying Provisions as to Grant of Accommodation to the Egg Marketing Authority by the Reserve Bank of New Zealand

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Act 1933, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that, notwithstanding the provisions of paragraph (i) of section 14 of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Act 1933, the Reserve Bank of New Zealand may grant accommodation, either directly or indirectly by way of discounts, loans, advances, overdrafts, or otherwise, to the Egg Marketing Authority established by the Egg Marketing Authority Regulations 1953,* in excess of one-fourth of the estimated revenue of the Authority for the year:

Provided that no accommodation to which this Order relates shall subsist beyond the 30th day of June 1955.

Revoking the Declaration of Main Highways and Declaring Public Highways to be Main Highways

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 11 of the National Roads Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that on and after the date of this Order in Council the main highways described in the First Schedule hereto shall cease to be main highways, and further declares that the roads described in the Second Schedule shall be main highways within the meaning and for the purposes of the National Roads Act 1953.

FIRST SCHEDULE

ROADS DISTRICT NO. 2B

Paeroa–Whakatane.—All that main highway or portion of main highway in the Borough of Waihi, declared as the Paeroa–Whakatane Main Highway, described in Order in Council dated 2 October 1940 and published in the New Zealand Gazette on 10 October 1940.

Waihi Beach.—All that main highway in the Borough of Waihi, declared as the Waihi Beach Main Highway, described in Order in Council dated 14 January 1932 and published in the New Zealand Gazette on 21 January 1932.

Coroglen–Waihi via Whangamata.—All that main highway or portion of main highway in the Borough of Waihi, described in Order in Council dated 2 October 1940 and published in the New Zealand Gazette on 10 October 1940.

ROADS DISTRICT NO. 7

Opunake Beach.—All that main highway or portion of main highway in the Borough of Opunake, declared as the Opunake Beach Main Highway, described in Order in Council dated 16 December 1935 and published in the New Zealand Gazette on 19 December 1935.

ROADS DISTRICT NO. 9A

Ohakea.—All that main highway or portion of main highway in the Manawatu County, declared as the Ohakea Main Highway, described in Order in Council dated 11 March 1942 and published in the New Zealand Gazette on 12 March 1942.
