The Standards Act 1941—Draft New Zealand Standard Specification No. D. 4388: Methods of Test for Flammability of Clothing Textiles

NOTICE is hereby given that the above draft New Zealand Standard Specification is now being circulated to affected interests for consideration and comment. The closing date fixed for such comment is 14 October 1954.

All persons who may be affected by this specification once it has been declared a Standard Specification by the Minister of Industries and Commerce may, at any time before the closing date for comments, obtain, on application, free copies from the New Zealand Standards Institute, Hamilton Chambers, 201 Lambton Quay (P.O. Box 195), Wellington, so as to have an opportunity to consider the draft and to comment thereon to the Standards Council or to an appropriate committee of the Council in accordance with subsection (3) of section 8 of the Standards Act 1941.

The Standards Act 1941—Standard Specification Revoked

NOTICE is hereby given that on 25 August 1954 the undermentioned standard specification was revoked by the Minister of Industries and Commerce pursuant to section 8 of the Standards Act 1941, in conjunction with regulation 8 of the Standards Regulations 1947:

Number and Title of Specification: N.Z.S.S. 51: Electricity meters; being B.S. 37 : 1937 with amendment CE 8401, May 1938.

Plants Declared Noxious Weeds in the Borough of Wairoa (Notice No. Ag. 5713)

PURSUANT to the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Director-General of Agriculture, acting under a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture for the purposes of the said Act, hereby publishes the following special order made by the Wairoa Borough Council on the 16th day of August 1954.

SPECIAL ORDER

THAT, pursuant to section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the plants mentioned in Schedule 1 and amendments of the said Act be and are hereby declared to be noxious weeds within the Borough of Wairoa.
