MOUNT ROSKILL BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PUBLIC notice is hereby given of a resolution of the Mount Roskill Borough Council of 10 August 1954 making a special rate as security for the annual charges on a loan of £5,000 for the purpose of widening and deepening the Oakley Creek.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Mount Roskill Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

‘‘That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £5,000 authorized to be raised by the Mount Roskill Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for widening and deepening Oakley Creek from Preston Avenue to Richardson Road, and also the branch creek from Oakley Creek to Hayr Road, the said Mount Roskill Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one thirty-second of a penny (⅓₂d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Mount Roskill; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being for a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off.’’

Rogers (Bricklayers) Limited, which is being wound up voluntarily, do hereby fix the 14th day of September 1954 as the day on or before which the creditors of the company are to prove their debts or claims and to establish any title they may have to priority under section 258 of the Act or to be excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before such debts are proved, or, as the case may be, from objecting to such distribution.

HUNTLY BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Huntly Borough Plant Loan 1954

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Huntly Borough Council hereby resolved as follows:

‘‘That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of six thousand pounds (£6,000), authorized to be raised by the Huntly Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing plant, the said Huntly Borough hereby makes and levies a special rate of one and decimal six six two pence (1·662d.) in the pound upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Huntly; and such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of seven years, or until the loan is fully paid off.’’

DUNEDIN CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Waterworks Loan 1954, £75,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Dunedin City Council hereby resolves as follows:

‘‘That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £75,000, authorized to be raised by the Dunedin City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing water-main extensions, the said Dunedin City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·08d. in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Dunedin, comprising the whole of the City of Dunedin; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first (1st) day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.’’

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed by the Dunedin City Council on the above-mentioned date.
