NOTICE OF REFERENCE OF SCHEME UNDER THE RELIGIOUS, CHARITABLE, AND EDUCATIONAL TRUSTS ACT 1908, TO THE SUPREME COURT—RENWICK COTTAGES, NELSON

NOTICE is hereby given that the Public Trustee has prepared a scheme under Part III of the Religious, Charitable, and Educational Trusts Act 1908 in connection with assets (including land at the corner of Examiner and Wellington Streets, Nelson, with a block of cottages thereon) held by him upon certain charitable trusts declared by the will of Adeline Renwick, deceased. Such scheme, which would (inter alia) enable moneys to be raised in order to effect improvements, etc., to the cottages (commonly known as Renwick Cottages) and would empower the Public Trustee to charge rents for them, has been submitted to the Attorney-General in terms of the said Act.

Application for approval of the scheme has been filed in the Supreme Court at Nelson. Such application may be heard by a Judge of the Supreme Court at Wellington on Friday, 17 September 1954, at 10 a.m., or so soon thereafter as possible. Copies of the scheme and of the report of the Attorney-General thereon may be inspected, free of charge, at the offices of the Registrar of the Supreme Court, Nelson (not later than 13 September 1954), the District Public Trustee, Nelson, and the Solicitor to the Public Trust Office, Wellington.
