Insert new paragraph:

  1. Handling at Ship's Side (Except Local Traffic).—Except as provided in paragraphs 2 to 7 hereof, the charge for handling goods consigned to or received from ship at New Plymouth Breakwater, Patea, Wanganui, Picton, Lyttelton, Timaru, Oamaru, Port Chalmers, Bluff, Greymouth, and Westport will be as follows:

The handling charge at ship’s side for goods of Classes E, N, P, Q, or R (other than scrap iron or scrap steel) will be 1s. 10d. per ton where the ship’s gear is used for discharging into or loading from railway wagons.

Amend present paragraph “1” to read “2”; omit preamble and subparagraph (a), and insert :

  1. Local Traffic.—The charge for haulage and handling at and between ship’s side and private stores or sidings or Government sheds and public sidings at the same station will be as follows:

(a) For Handling at Ship’s Side—
