Agreement for Grant of Easement in Favour of Mossburn
Store Limited, a duly Incorporated Company Having its
Registered Office at Mossburn, Over Land in Block I,
Taringatura Survey District, Taken for a Post Office,
Assented to

WHEREAS by an agreement dated the 5th day of
February 1954, Mossburn Store Limited, a duly incor-
po rated company having its registered office at Mossburn,
agreed to Her Majesty the Queen taking, under the Public
Works Act 1928, an area approximately 1 rood 29 perches,
being Lot 7, Block III, D.P. 192, and being part Section 102,
Block I, Taringatura Survey District, and being the whole
of the land formerly comprised and described in certificate of
title, Volume 36, folio 106 (Southland Land Registry), for
a post office:

And whereas the said Mossburn Store Limited is entitled
to receive compensation for its freehold interest in the said
area:

And whereas the Minister of Works has agreed to grant
to the said Mossburn Store Limited an easement to use and
maintain the existing water pipeline in and under portion of
the aforesaid area in addition to the payment of a sum of
money in full satisfaction of the compensation aforesaid:

And whereas the said Mossburn Store Limited has agreed
to accept such Grant of Easement in addition to the sum of
money in full satisfaction of the said compensation:

Now, therefore, the Minister of Works hereby gives
notice, pursuant to section 97 of the Public Works Act 1928,
that he assents to the agreement hereinbefore referred to.

Notice of Intention to Take Land in Block II, Arowhenua
Survey District, for Road

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the
provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the
land described in the Schedule hereto for road; and notice
is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required
to be taken is deposited in the post office at Temuka and is
there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by
the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-
grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the
same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days
from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of
Works at Wellington.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken:
1 rood 20 perches.
Being part Arowhenua 881, Section 63.

Situated in Block II, Arowhenua Survey District
(Canterbury R.D.).

In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 143572,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington,
and thereon coloured red.

Notice of Intention to Take Land in Block IX, Opunake
Survey District, for Road

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the
provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a
certain public work (to wit, the construction of a road), and
for the purposes of that public work the land described in the
Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby
further given that the plan of the land so required to be
taken is deposited in the Post Office at Opunake and is there
open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the
execution of the said public work or by the taking of the
said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections
to the execution of the public work or to the taking of the
land, set forth the same in writing; and send the writing,
within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to
the Minister of Works at Wellington.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken:
10 perches.
Being part Waiaua River Bed.

Situated in Block IX, Opunake Survey District (Taranaki
R.D.). (S.O. 8622.)

In the Taranaki Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 143201,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington,
and thereon coloured orange.

The Revocation of a Notice of a Scheme of Development and
Reconstruction in the Waikato River Basin and Adjacent
Areas

PURSUANT to subsection (2) of section 29 of the Finance
Act (No. 3) 1944, I, William Stanley Goosman, the
Minister of Works, hereby revoke the notice of a scheme of
development and reconstruction in the Waikato River basin
and adjacent areas dated the 26th day of June 1946 and
published in the Supplement to the Gazette of 27 June 1946
at page 935.

Applying Board of Trade (Gas) Regulations 1924 to Certain
Companies

PURSUANT to clause 27 of the Board of Trade (Gas)
Regulations 1924,* the Minister of Industries and Com-
merce hereby removes from the Schedule to the said regulations
the name of the Ashburton Gas, Coal, and Coke Company
Limited, and substitutes the name of the following company:

The Ashburton Electric Power Board.

Plant Declared a Noxious Weed in Hokianga County—
Notice No. Ag. 5671

PURSUANT to the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, and acting
under a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture for
the purposes of the said Act, the Director-General of Agri-
culture hereby publishes the following special order made by
the Hokianga County Council on the 23rd day of June 1954.

SPECIAL ORDER

In pursuance of the powers conferred on it under section 3 (1)
of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Hokianga County Council
by way of special order hereby declares the undermentioned
plant, as included in the First Schedule to the said Act, to
be a noxious weed within the County of Hokianga:

Common broom (Cytisus scoparius).
