Defining the Middle-line of the Stratford–Whangamomona Branch Railway (Stratford Deviation)

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the middle-line of the Stratford–Whangamomona Branch Railway (Stratford Deviation) shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
COMMENCING at a point marked 220 miles 49 chains 16 links: on the existing Foxton–New Plymouth Railway; thence proceeding generally in a north-easterly direction for a distance of 1 mile 53 chains 72 links and passing in, into, through, or over portions of railway land in Gazette 1888, page 1396, and Gazette 1925, page 485, portion of Section 98 (C.T. 112/18), part Lot 1 (C.T. 62/97) of D.P. 1597, part Lot 2 (C.T. 62/83) of D.P. 1597, part Lot 1 (C.T. 38/30) of D.P. 1334, part Section 30 (C.T. 38/31), parts Lots 1, 2, and 3 (C.T. 40/183) of D.P. 1598; all in Block II, Ngaere Survey District, Borough of Stratford. Part Lot 1 (C.T. 143/47) D.P. 2263, part Section 34 (C.T. 56/125), part Section 35 (C.T. 60/218), part Lot 3 (C.T. 63/235) of D.P. 1269, part Lot 4 (C.T. 38/246) of D.P. 1269, part Lot 28 (C.T. 51/112) of D.P. 1865, parts Lots 21 and 22 (C.T. 59/231) of D.P. 1942, part Lot 23 (C.T. 52/37), part Lot 24 (C.T. 52/36), parts Lots 25, 26, and 27 (C.T. 52/35), part Lot 11 (C.T. 138/136) of D.P. 1942; all in Block II, Ngaere Survey District, Stratford County; and terminating at a point on the Foxton–New Plymouth Railway (Stratford–Whangamomona Branch, Toko Section) marked 1 mile 45 chains 66 links; including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, streets, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and water-courses: All in the Taranaki Land District.
As the same are delineated on the plan marked L.O. 12663, deposited in the office of the New Zealand Railways Commission at Wellington.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 9th day of June 1954.

PURSUANT to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land declared to be Crown land: 34·3 perches.
Being Lot 6, D.P. 40908, being part Old Land Claim No. 7, and being part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 417, folio 224 (Auckland Land Registry).
Situated in the Borough of Kaitaia.

Situated in the City of Christchurch (Canterbury R.D.). (S.O. 8656.)
In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 143460, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.
