Allocating Land Taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Road at Shag Point

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 226 of the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road; and that the said road shall be under the control of the Waitaki County Council and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land:

0 0 4·7 Portion of railway land, being part Section 45, Block IX, Moeraki Survey District; coloured sepia.

0 2 7·6 Portion of railway land, being part Section 45, Block IX, Moeraki Survey District; coloured orange.

Situated in the Waitaki County. (S.O. 11809.)

In the Otago Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 12789, deposited in the office of the New Zealand Railways Commission at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General and issued under the Seal of New Zealand this 20th day of May 1954.

Allocating Railway Land to the Purposes of a Street at Masterton

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 226 of the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette become a street, and that the said street shall be under the control of the Masterton Borough Council and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.

In the Wellington Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 12691, deposited in the office of the New Zealand Railways Commission at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto together with the drainage rights created by Memorandum of Transfer No. 157912 (Otago Land Registry) is hereby set apart for railway purposes; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 31st day of May 1954.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of Crown land set apart: 38·1 perches.

Being Lot 8, D.P. 7589, and being part Section 26, Block XVII, Town of Balclutha, and being part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 361, folio 6 (Otago Land Registry).

Situated in the Borough of Balclutha.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 19th day of May 1954.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the additional land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the Whangarei-Kamo extension railway.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of additional land taken: 26 perches.

Being part road adjoining or passing through railway land in Proclamation 1655.

Situated in Block XII, Hukerenui Survey District, Whangarei County. (S.O. 37461.)

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 12416, deposited in the office of the New Zealand Railways Commission at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 20th day of May 1954.

PURSUANT to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land declared to be Crown land: 5 acres 2 roods 39·2 perches.

Being Lots 1 to 4 (both inclusive) and Lots 10 to 34 (both inclusive), D.P. S.2599, being part Allotments 33 and 35, Parish of Puketo, and being part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 299, folio 293 (Auckland Land Registry).

Situated in the City of Hamilton.
