Revoking a Proclamation Proclaiming Watercourses for the Deposit
of Tailings

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS by Proclamation published in the New Zealand
Gazette on the 4th day of April 1895 at page 601, certain
rivers were proclaimed watercourses into which tailings, mining
debris, and waste water may be discharged:
And whereas it is desirable that the said Proclamation be
revoked in part:
Now, therefore, pursuant to the Mining Act 1926, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General
of New Zealand, hereby revoke the said Proclamation in so far as
it relates to the Waihou and Ohinemuri Rivers and any tributaries
thereof.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General,
and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 18th day
of May 1954.

Crown Land Set Apart as Provisional State Forest Land

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 18 of the Forests Act 1949, I,
Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie,
the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby set apart the
Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as provisional
State Forest land.
SCHEDULE
SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT—SOUTHLAND CONSERVANCY
ALL that area in the Southland Land District, Wallace County,
containing by admeasurement 450 acres, more or less, and being
Section 8, Block VIII, Lillburn Survey District. As the same
is more particularly delineated on plan No. 200/23, deposited
in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at
Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (S.O. plan 3627.)
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand,
this 17th day of May 1954.

Declaring Portion of Railway Land at Cronadun to be Crown
Land

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the
Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare
the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land
subject to the Land Act 1948.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 3 acres 1 rood 15·6
perches.
Being part railway land in Proclamation 88, now described
as Section 11, Block VI, Reefton Survey District.
Situated in Inangahua County. (S.O. 9877.)
In the Nelson Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 12804,
deposited in the office of the New Zealand Railways
Commission at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand,
this 18th day of May 1954.

the Waitaki-Bluff Railway

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the
Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare
that the additional land described in the Schedule hereto is
hereby taken for the purposes of the Waitaki-Bluff Railway.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of additional land taken:
36·3 perches.
Being part Section 45, Block IX, Moeraki Survey District.
Situated in the Waitaki County. (S.O. 11809.)
In the Otago Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 12789,
deposited in the office of the New Zealand Railways Com-
mission at Wellington, and thereon coloured sepia.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand,
this 20th day of May 1954.
