Notice to Persons Affected by Applications for Licences Under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act 1936

Pharmacy Industry

Boots the Chemists (N.Z.) Ltd., 58 Willis Street, Wellington, has applied for a licence to operate a new pharmacy, limited as to size and number of staff employed, at 101–103 High Street, Lower Hutt.
P. E. Owles, Lower Hutt, has applied for a licence to operate a new pharmacy at High Street (opposite Waterloo Road,) Lower Hutt.
B. R. Haycock, 75 Sale Street, Howick, has applied for a licence to operate a new pharmacy at 600 Remuera Road, Auckland.
W. H. Teape, 59 River Road, Avonside, Christchurch, has applied for a licence to operate a new pharmacy at Main South Road, Sockburn.
P. J. Day, 16 St. James Avenue, Christchurch, has applied for permission to transfer the pharmacy licence held by him for 187 North Road, to a new site at corner of Sawyers Arms and North Roads, Papanui, Christchurch.

Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor Spirit

R. A. Smith, 72 Ladysmith Crescent, Roxburgh Hydro, has applied for a licence to resell motor spirit from two pumps to be installed on proposed service-station and garage premises near Waitahuna, on main highway to Central Otago.
S. L. Wadsworth, Tapawera, Nelson, has applied for permission to shift one pump from its present site at garage premises on Main Road, to a new site 60 ft. nearer proposed new garage near railway line, Tapawera.
J. T. Jordan, 34 Second Avenue, Tauranga, has applied for a licence to resell motor spirit from one pump to be installed on garage premises at 34 Second Avenue, Tauranga.
Mrs A. R. Kirker, Te Horo, has applied for permission to shift one pump from its present position near dairy factory at Main Road, Te Horo, to a proposed new site 18 ft. back from Main Road and south of present position at Te Horo.

Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should, not later than 6 May 1954, submit any written evidence and representations they may desire to tender.
