Amending Orders in Council Vesting Management of Certain Wharves in the Akaroa Borough Council

At the Government House at Wellington, this 14th day of April 1954
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the 22nd day of December 1941 and published in the Gazette of the 8th day of the following month at page 10, the management of certain wharves in Akaroa Harbour was vested in the Akaroa Borough Council:
And whereas the Order in Council of the 22nd day of December 1941 was amended by Order in Council of the 13th day of April 1949 and published in the Gazette of the 28th day of the same month at page 958.
And whereas it is desirable to amend the said Order in Council of the 13th day of April 1949 by amending the ‘Second Schedule’ in the manner hereinafter set forth:
Now, therefore, pursuant to the provisions of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General hereby amends the hereinbefore recited Order in Council of the 13th day of April 1949 as follows:
The following items listed under the heading ‘Second Schedule, Wharfage Dues’:

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 7th day of April 1954
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby licenses and permits the Little Akaloa Boat Club (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include its successors or assigns, unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and land below low-water mark in Little Akaloa, Banks Peninsula, as shown on plan marked M.D. 9643, and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of erecting and maintaining a slipway thereon as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
CONDITIONS

This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1950, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.

The premium payable by the licensee shall be £5 and the annual sum so payable £1 10s.

The term of the licence shall be fourteen years from the 1st day of April 1954.

Foreshore Licence—Waikato River—Huntly, Taupiri, and Hamilton Wharves, Sheds, and Breastwork—The Roose Shipping Co. Ltd.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 7th day of April 1954
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby licenses and permits the Roose Shipping Company Limited, of Mercer (hereinafter called the company, which term shall include its successors and assigns, unless the context requires a different construction), to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and land below low-water mark at Huntly, Taupiri, and Hamilton in the Waikato River, as shown on plans marked M.D. 6956,
6954, and 6955 respectively, and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining wharves, sheds, and breastwork thereon as shown on the said plans, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the company upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
CONDITIONS

This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1940, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.

The premium payable by the company shall be two pounds (£2) and the annual sum so payable fifteen pounds (£15).

The term of the licence shall be fourteen years from the 1st day of April 1954.

The master of each vessel discharging ballast at the said structures shall have all such ballast taken away and deposited above high-water mark, or at such place as may be approved of by the Minister or by any person appointed by the Minister for that purpose.

Foreshore Licence—Pukapuka—Landing Site and Prescribing Dues for the Use of Same—Henson Brothers (Limited)

At the Government House at Wellington, this 14th day of April 1954
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby licenses and permits Henson Brothers Limited, of Pukapuka (hereinafter called the company, which term shall include its successors or assigns, unless the context requires a different construction), to use and occupy a part of the foreshore at Pukapuka, as shown on plan marked M.D. 4991 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining a landing thereon as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the company upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the First Schedule hereto, and doth prescribe that the dues and rates set forth in the Second Schedule hereto shall be charged and taken by the company for the use of the said landing.
FIRST SCHEDULE
CONDITIONS

This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1940, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.

The premium payable by the company shall be five pounds (£5) and the annual sum so payable three pounds (£3).

The term of the licence shall be fourteen years from the 1st day of April 1954.
