of that river to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary

December 1933 at page 3403, crossing an intervening public
road to Trig. Station Manginangina in Block XV, Kaeo
Survey District; thence along the southern boundary of
Manginangina or Motukauri Block, the southern and south-
eastern boundaries of Section 4 of the last-mentioned Block
XV, the south-western, eastern, and north-eastern boundaries
of Section 45, Block XII, Kaeo Survey District, and along a
right line across a public road to and along the north-eastern
boundaries of Sections 44 and 3 of that Block XII, the eastern
boundaries of Section 4, Block XI, Kaeo Survey District, and
Section 31, Block XII aforesaid, crossing the intervening
public roads, and along a right line, being the last-mentioned
boundary produced across a public road to the southern
boundary of Section 30 of the aforesaid Block XII; thence
easterly along the generally southern boundaries of the last-
mentioned Section 30, the southern and eastern boundaries of
Section 32 of Block XII aforesaid, and along part of the
southern boundary of Old Land Claim 25 to and along the
southern and eastern boundaries of Section 3, Block VIII,
Kaeo Survey District, and along the south-eastern boundaries
of Old Land Claim 19 to the point of commencement; together
with all islands in the Bay of Islands and all other islands
adjacent to the said county; and excluding from the said
county the Borough of Kaikohe as described in the Proclama-
tion published in New Zealand Gazette No. 35 of the 26th day
of June 1947 at page 781, and the Town District of Kawakawa
as hereinbefore described.

BOUNDARIES OF THE KAWAKAWA RIDING OF THE COUNTY OF
BAY OF ISLANDS

All that area in the North Auckland Land District
bounded by a line commencing at a point in Block III,
Kawakawa Survey District, in the middle of the Paihia Road,
in line with the south-western boundary of the subdivision of
Old Land Claim 245 containing 410 acres, and running south-
easterly generally along a right line to and along the south-
western and southern boundaries of that subdivision, the
northern and north-eastern boundaries of Allotment 137,
Kawakawa Parish, and the northern boundary of Allotment
138 of the said parish to the northernmost corner of the
last-mentioned allotment; thence along a right line to the
westernmost corner of the part of Old Land Claim 251 shown
on D.P. 14689, and along the south-western boundary of that
part of Old Land Claim 251, the south-western and southern
boundaries of Section 13, Block VIII, Kawakawa Survey
District, and the abutment of a foreshore reserve to the shores
of the Bay of Islands; thence southerly along those shores to
a point in line with the north-western boundary of Allotment
195, Kawakawa Parish aforesaid; thence along a right line
across a public road to and along that north-western boundary,
along the south-western boundary of the said Allotment 195,
the north-western and southern boundaries of Waimangaro
Block, the southern boundary of Ngamokooneone No. 2 Block,
crossing and recrossing the intervening public road, along the
south-western boundary of Allotment 204, Kawakawa Parish
aforesaid, and along the western and south-western boundaries
of Awahe Block to the southernmost corner of that block;
thence along a right line running due east to the middle of
the Kawakawa River, and up the middle of that river and the
middle of the Karetu River to the western boundary of Karetu
Block in Block IX, Russell Survey District; thence southerly
along the western boundary of the said Karetu Block and
along a right line, being the last-mentioned boundary produced
to the north-western corner of Allotment 94, Ruapekapeka
Parish, crossing two intervening public roads, and along the
southern side of the public road forming the northern boundary
of the said Allotment 94, to and along the southern boundary
of the aforesaid Karetu Block, to the middle of the public
road forming the north-western boundary of Section 11,
Block XIV, Russell Survey District; thence south-westerly
generally along the middle of that road and the middle of
the road which forms the north-western boundaries of Sections
7 and 6, Block XIV aforesaid, and Allotment 106, Ruapeka-
peka Parish aforesaid, to a point in line with the western
boundary of that allotment; thence along a right line to and
along that western boundary and down the right bank of the
Tirohanga Stream to a point in line with the western boundary
of Allotment 116, Ruapekapeka Parish aforesaid; thence along
a right line across the aforesaid Tirohanga Stream and along
the abutment of a public road, to and along the western
boundary of Allotment 116 aforesaid, to and along the northern
boundaries of Allotments 88, 87, and 86, Ruapekapeka Parish
aforesaid, along the western boundary of the said Allotment
86 and along a right line, being the last-mentioned boundary
produced across a public road to the southern side of that
road; thence along that southern side and the southern side
of the public road forming the northern boundary of the part
Mohinui No. 9 Block shown on D.P. 14011, to and along the
north-western boundary of Section 10, Block I, Hukerenui
Survey District, crossing an intervening public road, and along
the northern and north-western boundaries of Section 1, Block
IV, Motatau Survey District, and a right line, being the
last-mentioned boundary produced, across the Whangarei-
Awanui State Highway to the north-eastern boundary of
Section 6, Block IV, Motatau Survey District aforesaid;
thence southerly along the generally western side of that State
highway to and along the northern and western boundaries of
Section 7 of the said Block IV, the western boundary of
Section 9, Block VIII, Motatau Survey District, crossing the
North Auckland Railway, and along the northern side of the
