Revoking the Reservation Over a Reserve in Tokatoka Survey District, North Auckland Land District

PURSUANT to subsection (1) (b) of section 7 of the Public Reserves and Domains Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby revokes the reservation for a quarry over the land described in the Schedule hereto; and hereby declares that the said land, being vested in the Crown, is Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act 1948.

PURSUANT to subsection (1) (b) of section 7 of the Public Reserves and Domains Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby revokes the reservation for a site for a pound over the land described in the Schedule hereto and hereby declares that the said land, being vested in the Crown, is Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act 1948.

WHEREAS a notice of intention to issue an Order in Council declaring that the reservation for the purposes of a recreation ground over the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be revoked was published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 5th day of November 1953 ;
And whereas such notice of intention was duly laid before the House of Representatives in accordance with the provisions of subsection (2) of section 7 of the Public Reserves and Domains Act 1928 :
And whereas the House of Representatives, by a resolution dated the 27th day of November 1953, approved the proposed revocation as aforesaid :
Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (1) (b) of section 7 of the Public Reserves and Domains Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council hereby revokes the reservation for the purposes of a recreation ground over the land described in the Schedule hereto, and hereby declares that the said land, being vested in the Crown, is Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act 1948.

Amending an Order in Council Authorizing the Dunedin City Council to Erect and Maintain Electric Lines

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby amends the Order in Council dated the 23rd day of April 1923 and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 3rd day of May 1923, authorizing the Dunedin City Council to erect and maintain electric lines in portion of the Land District of Otago, by deleting clause 2 of the Schedule thereto and substituting the following clause:

  1. SYSTEM OF SUPPLY
    'Bulk supply at a normal rated pressure of 33,000 volts between phases shall be received from the State Hydro-electric Department's substation at Halfway Bush, or from such other additional point or points of supply as may be arranged between the Minister in Charge of the State Hydro-electric Department and the licensee.
    The system of supply shall be as described in paragraphs (a), (b), (c), (d), (e), (f), (h), (i), and (j) of regulation 21–01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935. The normal rated generating pressures shall be 2,400 volts and 6,600 volts at the licensee's hydro-electric stations, 550 volts at the licensee's diesel stations, and 6,600 volts at the licensee's steam station. The normal rated pressures of the transmission lines shall be 110,000 volts and 33,000 volts.
    The normal rated pressures of the primary distribution lines shall be 11,000 volts, 6,600 volts, and 3,300 volts. The normal rated pressure of the series street-lighting system shall be 3,300 volts. The normal rated pressure of the two-wire direct-current system classified under paragraph (i) shall be 550 volts. The system of supply classified under paragraph (j) shall be a two-wire direct-current system at a normal rated pressure of 600 volts for supply to the licensee's trackless trolley-omnibus system.'

Authorizing Walter Henry Rogers, of Market Cross, Karamea, County Foreman, to Erect and Use Certain Electric Lines in the County of Buller

Present:
THE RIGHT HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorizes Walter Henry Rogers, of Market Cross, Karamea, County Foreman (hereinafter referred to as the licensee), subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto.

CONDITIONS
IMPLIED CONDITIONS

  1. The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated herein and shall form part of this licence except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.

LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS
2. The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the licensee with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference Regulations 1934, and with all regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor respectively.

SYSTEM OF SUPPLY
3. The system of supply shall be a direct-current system as described in paragraph (d) of regulation 21–01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935.

DURATION OF LICENCE
4. Unless sooner lawfully determined this licence shall continue in force until the 31st day of March 1974, or until electrical energy is available from an Electric Power Board or some other public source of supply, whichever is the earlier.

SCHEDULE
LINES for the supply of electrical energy by the system of supply hereinbefore described, commencing from the licensee’s power house situated in part Section 102 and proceeding as follows:
(a) In a north-easterly direction to a house situated in the said part Section 102 and Section 49 and to an outbuilding also situated in the said part Section 102.
