Varying the Determinations in Respect of the Manawatu County Council's Loan of £10,000

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 16th day of February 1954

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the 21st day of June 1950 (hereinafter called the said Order in Council) and subject to the determinations as to borrowing and repayment therein set out, consent was given to the raising in New Zealand by the Manawatu County Council (hereinafter called the said local authority) of a loan of ten thousand pounds (£10,000) to be known as 'Bridges Loan 1947' (hereinafter called the said loan):

And whereas the said loan has not been raised and it is expedient to vary certain of the determinations aforesaid in respect thereof:

Now, therefore, pursuant to section 11 of the Local Government Loans Board Act 1926 as set out in section 29 of the Finance Act 1932 (No. 2), His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby varies certain of the determinations aforesaid in respect of the said loan by prescribing that in lieu of a rate of interest not exceeding three pounds five shillings (£3 5s.) per centum per annum, as specified in clause 2 of the said Order in Council, the rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate or rates exceeding four pounds (£4) per centum per annum.

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the 22nd day of July 1953 (hereinafter called the said Order in Council) and subject to the determinations as to borrowing and repayment therein set out, consent was given to the raising in New Zealand by the Kaituna River Board (hereinafter called the said local authority) of a loan of three thousand pounds (£3,000) to be known as 'Housing Loan 1953' (hereinafter called the said loan):

And whereas the said loan has not yet been raised and it is expedient to vary certain of the determinations aforesaid in respect thereof:

Now, therefore, pursuant to section 11 of the Local Government Loans Board Act 1926 as set out in section 29 of the Finance Act 1932 (No. 2), His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby varies certain of the determinations aforesaid in respect of the said loan by prescribing that in lieu of a term of twenty-five (25) years, as specified in clause 1 of the said Order in Council, the term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be raised shall not exceed ten (10) years.

Changing the Purpose of Portion of a Reserve in Waiwera Survey District, North Auckland Land District

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms portion of a public landing reserve, and is vested, in trust, in the Waitemata County Council:

And whereas it is expedient that the purpose of the reservation over such land shall be changed to a reserve for county buildings, and the Waitemata County Council has duly consented to such change of purpose:

Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (1) (a) of section 7 of the Public Reserves and Domains Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council hereby declares that the purpose of that portion of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto is hereby changed from a public landing reserve to a reserve for county buildings.

Domain Board Appointed to Have Control of the Fairlie Domain

PURSUANT to section 44 of the Public Reserves and Domains Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby appoints

Albert George Braddick,

Donald Finlay Campbell,

Frank Forbes Gibson,

James Hall,

William Henry Heads,

Charles Henry Hide,

Frederick Cecil Bennett Miles,

Alfred Andrew Henry Pinkerton, and

Henry Raymond Welsh

to be the Fairlie Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and hereby appoints Wednesday, the 24th day of February 1954, at 8 o'clock p.m., as the time when, and the office of the secretary, Mr J. A. Fraser, Main Street, Fairlie, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT—FAIRLIE DOMAIN

RESERVE 4549, situated in Block VII, Tengawai Survey District: Area, 1 acre 3 roods 32 perches, more or less. (S.O. plan 8031.)

Revoking the Reservation Over a Reserve in Maungamangero Survey District, South Auckland Land District

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to subsection (1) (b) of section 7 of the Public Reserves and Domains Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby revokes the reservation for a cemetery site over the land described in the Schedule hereto and hereby declares that the said land, being vested in the Crown, is Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act 1948.
