Declaring Lands in the Taranaki, Wellington, and Canterbury Land Districts Vested in the Taranaki, Wanganui, Wellington, and Canterbury Education Boards as Sites for Public Schools, to be Vested in Her Majesty the Queen

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS by subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education Lands Act 1949 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) it is provided that, notwithstanding anything contained in any other Act, the Governor-General may from time to time, by Proclamation, declare that any school-site or part of a school-site which in his opinion is no longer required for that purpose shall be vested in Her Majesty; and thereupon the school-site or part thereof, as the case may be, shall vest in Her Majesty freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date of the Proclamation:

Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (6) of section 5 of the said Act, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the First Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Taranaki Education Board, the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Wanganui Education Board, the land described in the Third Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Wellington Education Board, and the land described in the Fourth Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Canterbury Education Board as sites for public schools, shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date hereof.

FIRST SCHEDULE
TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area situated in Block I, Ngaere Survey District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 39ยท7 perches, more or less, being Lot 1 as shown on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at New Plymouth under No. 5127, being part Section 67A, and being part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 19, folio 153 (Taranaki Registry).

SECOND SCHEDULE
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area situated in Block I, Ongo Survey District, containing by admeasurement 3 acres 2 roods 2 perches, more or less, being part Section 108, Paraekaretu Block, as shown on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Wellington under No. 4167, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 257, folio 264 (Wellington Registry).

Land Set Apart as Provisional State Forest Declared to be Subject to the Land Act 1948

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to subsection (2) of section 19 of the Forests Act 1949, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, acting on the joint recommendation of the Minister of Lands and of the Minister of Forests, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being portion of a provisional State forest reserve set apart by Proclamation dated the 17th day of December 1938 and gazetted on the 12th day of January 1939, is required for settlement purposes; and, in accordance with the provisions of the said Act, such land shall, from and after the day of the gazetting hereof, cease to be provisional State forest land, and shall become Crown land available for sale, lease, reservation, or other disposition under the provisions of the Land Act 1948.
