Vesting a Reserve in the Howick Borough Council

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 8th day of December 1953
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart as a reserve for recreation purposes:
And whereas in the opinion of the Governor-General it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Howick:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 9 of the Public Reserves and Domains Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that from and after the day of the date hereof the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Howick, in trust, for recreation purposes.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart as a reserve for Road Board buildings:
And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Panmure Township Road Board:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 9 of the Public Reserves and Domains Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Panmure Township Road Board, in trust, for Road Board buildings.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart as a reserve for a site for a fire station:
And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Otamatea:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 9 of the Public Reserves and Domains Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Otamatea, in trust, for a site for a fire station.

PURSUANT to section 4 of the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Act 1944, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares the Borough of Papakura, as described in New Zealand Gazette No. 19 of the 17th day of March 1938 at page 470, to be a special area under the name of the Papakura Special Area.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the additional land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the Kaipara-Waikato railway.

Associations Declared to be Nominating Associations for the purposes of the Local Government Commission Act 1946

PURSUANT to section 2 of the Local Government Commission Act 1946, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the Warrant made on the 27th day of January 1947* declaring certain Associations to be nominating Associations for the purposes of that Act, and hereby declare the following Associations to be nominating Associations for the purposes of that Act:
The Municipal Association of New Zealand, Incorporated;
The New Zealand Counties Association, Incorporated;
The Hospital Boards’ Association of New Zealand; and
The Harbours Association of New Zealand.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 15th day of December 1953.
