Appointing the Transport Licensing Appeal Authority Under the Transport Act 1949

PURSUANT to section 135 of the Transport Act 1949, His Excellency the Governor-General hereby appoints His Honour Judge Kendrick Gee Archer, of Wellington, to be the Transport Licensing Appeal Authority for a term commencing on the 1st day of January 1954 and expiring on the 31st day of December 1954.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 10th day of December 1953.

Appointing the Transport Charges Appeal Authority Under the Transport Act 1949

Warrant Giving Authority to Convene General Courts-Martial and to Confirm the Findings and Sentences Thereof and to Delegate Authority to Convene General Courts-Martial

PURSUANT to the New Zealand Army Act 1950, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby give a general authority to the undermentioned officer to convene general Courts-martial for the trial of such persons subject to Military law as are for the time being under or within the territorial limits of his command or jurisdiction who shall be charged with any offence against the New Zealand Army Act, whether such offence shall have been committed before or after he shall have taken upon himself his command or appointment, and hereby empower such officer to confirm the findings and sentences of general Courts-martial; and hereby further empower such officer to delegate to any officer under his command not below the rank of field officer a general authority to convene general Courts-martial for the trial of such persons subject to military law as are for the time being under or within the territorial limits of his command but not the power of confirming the findings and sentences thereof. The proceedings of every Court-martial convened by such last-mentioned officer shall be reserved for confirmation by the undermentioned officer in accordance with this Warrant; and I further authorize the undermentioned officer to nominate and appoint, and to delegate to any officer duly authorized to convene a general Court-martial the power of appointing, a fit person from time to time for executing the office of Judge Advocate at any Court-martial for the more orderly proceedings of the same.
