PURSUANT to section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby approves of the following resolution passed by the Greymouth Borough Council on the 21st day of September 1953, viz.:
‘‘The Greymouth Borough Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the Borough of Greymouth, by resolution declares that the provisions of section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928 shall not apply to the southern side of the portion of Sheedy Lane adjoining part Section 53, Block II of the Greymouth or Mawhera Native Reserve, being the whole of the land comprised in leasehold certificate of title, Volume 44, folio 149 (Westland Registry)’’,
the side and portion of street being described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
THE southern side of all that portion of street situated in the Westland Land District, Borough of Greymouth, known as Sheedy Lane, fronting part Section 53, Block II of the Greymouth or Mawhera Maori Reserve.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 141897, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Revoking the Reservation Over Reserves in City of Christchurch, Canterbury Land District

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to subsection (1) (b) of section 7 of the Public Reserves and Domains Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby revokes the reservation for a reserve for the public service of the Province of Canterbury over the land described in the First Schedule hereto; and hereby revokes the reservation for defence purposes over the land described in the Second Schedule hereto; and hereby declares that the said lands, being vested in the Crown, are Crown lands available for disposal under the Land Act 1948.

Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in the Town of Howick, North Auckland Land District

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is a reserve duly set apart for a public landing-place:
And whereas it is expedient that the purpose of the reservation over such land shall be changed to a reserve for recreation purposes:
Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (1) (a) of section 7 of the Public Reserves and Domains Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that the purpose of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto is hereby changed from a reserve for a public landing-place to a reserve for recreation purposes.

Recreation Reserve in Hawke’s Bay Land District Brought Under Part II of the Public Reserves and Domains Act 1928

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 34 of the Public Reserves and Domains Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the reserve for recreation in the Hawke’s Bay Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act, and such reserve shall hereafter form part of the Westshore Domain, and shall be managed, administered, and dealt with as a public domain by the Westshore Domain Board.

And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Palmerston North:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 9 of the Public Reserves and Domains Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Palmerston North, in trust, for recreation purposes.
