PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, now held for the development of water power (Harewood substation), is hereby set apart for the Sockburn-Styx railway; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 7th day of December 1953.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the additional land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a parking place and shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Lower Hutt as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 7th day of December 1953.
