OTOROHANGA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Workers' Dwellings Loan (No. 2) 1953, £10,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Otorohanga County Council hereby resolves as follows:

'That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of ten thousand pounds (£10,000) authorized to be raised by the Otorohanga County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing workers' dwellings, the said Otorohanga County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ten sixty-fourths of a penny (10⁄64d.) in the pound on the rateable value, upon the basis of the unimproved value, of all rateable property in the County of Otorohanga, and that such rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 14th day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.'

CHANGE OF NAME OF COMPANY

NOTICE is hereby given that KAIWARRA SERVICE STATION, LIMITED, has changed its name to JOHN S. HUTTON, LIMITED, and that the new name was this day entered in my Register of Companies in place of the former name.

PURSUANT to section 222 of the Companies Act 1933, notice is hereby given that by an entry of minute made pursuant to section 300 of the Companies Act 1933, signed by all the members and dated the 22nd day of September 1953, the following special resolution was passed:

'Resolved, that the company be wound up voluntarily.'

MATAMATA COUNCIL COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Rural Housing Loan 1953, £25,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Matamata County Council hereby resolves as follows:

'That, for the purpose of providing the repayment of and interest charges on a loan of £25,000 authorized to be raised by the Matamata County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of making advances to farmers under the provisions of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Matamata County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-twentieth of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the County of Matamata, and that such special rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 17th day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.'

The foregoing resolution was passed at a duly constituted meeting of the Matamata County Council held on the 17th day of September 1953.

ELTHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Worker's Dwelling Loan 1953

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Eltham Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

'(1) That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £2,300 authorized to be raised by the Eltham Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of refunding to the District Fund Account moneys applied by the Council in the purchase and repair of two dwelling houses, the said Eltham Borough Council hereby makes and levies, subject to the provisions of subclause (2) hereof, a special rate of decimal point three pence in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Eltham, comprising the whole of the Borough of Eltham, and that such special rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

'(2) Provided that unless specifically required by the lender, or depending on the financial requirements of the Council in any particular year, it is not the Council's intention to strike the above-mentioned special rate, but to meet the annual charges of the Worker's Dwelling Loan 1953 from the revenues of the Council's District Fund Account.'

NOTICE is hereby given, in accordance with the provisions of the Companies Act 1933, section 232, that a general meeting of the company will be held at the office of the liquidator on Friday, the 23rd day of October 1953, at 10 a.m., for the purpose of receiving the liquidator's accounts and report on the winding-up and to pass a resolution as to the disposal of the books and papers of the company.

AUCKLAND METROPOLITAN DRAINAGE BOARD

LOAN No. 9, 1952 (£750,000), SECOND ISSUE, £250,000

Special Order

THE Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Board doth hereby, in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Act 1944, and in pursuance of the authority conferred on it under the Local Bodies' Finance Act 1921–22, the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Local Government Loans Board Act 1926, and their respective amendments, and in exercise of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, resolve by special resolution intended to operate as a special order to borrow the sum of two hundred and fifty thousand pounds (£250,000) as a special loan and to be portion of the special loan of £750,000 designated 'Loan No. 9, 1952,' to be applied for or towards the cost of the undermentioned works:

Constructing main sewers from Orakei and from Point England to West Tamaki Head—constructing an access road, purchasing land, and undertaking associated works.

The foregoing special order was made by way of a special resolution passed at a special meeting of the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Board convened by requisition of the chairman dated 19 August 1953 and held on 26 August 1953. It was publicly notified in the New Zealand Herald on the 1st and 17th days of September 1953. It was confirmed at a meeting of the Board, convened by resolution of the Board on the 26th day of August 1953 and held on the 23rd day of September 1953.

The common seal of the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Board was hereto affixed this 23rd day of September 1953 in the presence of—
