NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LANDS

Waipaoa River Flood Control Scheme

NOTICE is hereby given that the Poverty Bay Catchment Board, acting under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928 and the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, proposes to take the lands described in the Schedule hereto for a public work, namely for river control purposes.

Notice is further given that plans of the lands required to be taken are deposited in the office of the Board at 16 Childers Road, Gisborne, and are open for inspection by all persons during office hours.

All persons affected by the taking of such lands or by the execution of such public works who have any well founded ground of objection thereto must state their objection in writing and deliver the same to the Secretary of the Poverty Bay Catchment Board at the Board's offices within forty days from the first publication of this notice.

IN LIQUIDATION

Notice of Voluntary Winding-up Resolution

PURSUANT to section 222 of the Companies Act 1933, notice is hereby given that on the 23rd day of September 1953 it was resolved by way of a special resolution, by an entry in the minute book of the company, signed as provided by subsection (1) of section 300 of the Companies Act 1933:

"That the company, having disposed of the whole of its undertaking, be wound up voluntarily, and that Mr. O. WALTON, of Eketahuna, be and is hereby appointed liquidator of the company."

Dated at Eketahuna, this 24th day of September 1953.

BOROUGH OF MOUNT MAUNGANUI

INCREASE IN THE NUMBER OF COUNCILLORS

Special Order

IN exercise and pursuance of the powers conferred upon it by section 148 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1933 and its amendments and every other Act in that behalf enabling it, the Mount Maunganui Borough Council makes the following special order:

'1. That exclusive of the Mayor, the said Mount Maunganui Borough Council shall consist of eight members.
'2. That the alteration hereby made in the number of the members of the said Council shall take effect on and after the 1st day of November 1953, and the Councillors to be elected on the 31st day of October shall be elected in accordance with the provisions of this special order.'

This special order was by resolution passed at a special meeting of the Mount Maunganui Borough Council held on the 21st day of July 1953 and (having in the meantime been publicly notified in the manner prescribed by law) confirmed by resolution of an ordinary meeting of the said Council held on the 18th day of August 1953.

The common seal of the Mayor, Councillors and Burgesses of the Borough of Mount Maunganui was hereunto affixed to the above written special order at the offices of and pursuant to a resolution of the Council of the said Borough in the presence of—
