A PROCLAMATION
P URSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment
Act 1948, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby
Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby
proclaim as road the land described in the First Schedule
hereto; and also hereby proclaim as closed the road described
in the Second Schedule hereto.

Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim as
closed the portion of street described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of street closed: 1 acre.
Adjoining Orakei 1 Reserve C 2B 2; part Orakei 4A 1 Block;
part Orakei 3F 1 Block; Section 681, Town of Orakei; and
Section 28, Block VIII, Rangitoto Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION
P URSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the
Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and
declare that the portion of public reserve described in the
Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for post-and-telegraph
purposes (line store and garage); and I also declare that
this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 5th
day of October 1953.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the portion of public reserve set
apart: 1 acre.
Being Section 28, Town of Cambridge East, as shown on a
plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor at
Auckland as No. 1387c (South Auckland Land District).
Situated in the Borough of Cambridge.

Extending Time for Holding Election of Member of Upper Hutt Licensing Trust

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 30th day of
September 1953
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Licensing Trusts Act 1949
and the Local Elections and Polls Act 1953, an election
of a member of the Upper Hutt Licensing Trust was required
to be held not later than Saturday, the 15th day of August
1953:
And whereas that election has not yet been held:
And whereas it is desirable to extend the time for holding
the said election:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 100 of the Local
Elections and Polls Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-
General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council, hereby declares that the time for the
holding of the said election is extended to Saturday, the
31st day of October 1953.

Authorizing the Laying-off of Fabian and Curtis Streets, in the Borough of Stratford, Subject to a Condition as to the Building Line

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 30th day of
September 1953
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
P URSUANT to section 31 of the Municipal Corporations
Amendment Act 1948, and section 125 of the Public
Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council,
hereby authorizes the Stratford Borough Council to lay-off
the proposed streets described in the Schedule hereto at a
width for part of their lengths of less than 66 ft. but not less
than 50 ft., subject to the condition that no building or part
of a building shall at any time be erected on the land shown
edged green on the plan marked P.W.D. 141280, referred to
in the said Schedule, within a distance of 40 ft. from the
centre line of the said streets.
SCHEDULE
THAT proposed street in the Taranaki Land District, Borough
of Stratford, to be known as Fabian Street, containing by
admeasurement 37.3 perches, more or less, being part Lot 4,
D.P. 6241, being part Section 22, Block I, Ngaere Survey
District.
Also that proposed street in the said land district and
borough, to be known as Curtis Street, containing by admeasurement
2 roods 6.5 perches, more or less, being part Lot 4,
D.P. 6241, being part Section 22, Block I, Ngaere Survey
District.
As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan
marked P.W.D. 141280, deposited in the office of the Minister
of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
