NELSON CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Nelson City Council hereby resolves as follows:

'That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £17,700, being the third and final portion of the loan known as the Water Reticulation Loan 1951, authorized to be raised by the Nelson City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing waterworks for the installation and improvement of the water supply in three areas of the City of Nelson, the said Nelson City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of fifteen one hundred and twenty-eighths of a penny (15/128d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the City of Nelson comprising the whole of the said city, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 23rd day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off.'

The foregoing is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Nelson City Council at a special meeting held on the 8th day of September 1953.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Footpaths Loan, £5,000, 1953

THE following resolution was passed by the Pahiatua Borough Council at a meeting held on the 10th day of August 1953:

'That, for the purpose of providing for the interest and other charges on a loan of £5,000 authorized to be raised by the Pahiatua Borough Council in New Zealand by special order under the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926 and of all other Acts and authorities it thereunto enabling for the purpose of constructing kerbing, channelling, and sealing footpaths, and providing a footbridge and culvert in the Borough of Pahiatua, the said Pahiatua Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 50/100ths. of 1d. in the £ upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable value of the Borough of Pahiatua, comprising the whole of the Borough of Pahiatua, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.'

Waikanae Fire Services Loan 1952 of £2,700

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926 and of all other powers thereunto enabling, the Horowhenua County Council hereby resolves as follows:

'That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of two thousand seven hundred pounds (£2,700) authorized to be raised by the Horowhenua County Council for the purpose of erecting a fire station and purchasing fire-fighting equipment to serve the Waikanae Secondary Urban Fire District, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought one nought five six of a penny (0.01056d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all the rateable property in the county of Horowhenua; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, being payable yearly on the first day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.'
