MEMBERS' VOLUNTARY WINDING-UP
NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders held on Thursday, 10 September 1953, it was resolved by special resolution:
“That the company be wound up voluntarily.'
It was also resolved that Mr GEORGE COWIE BRIAN MINOGUE, of Auckland, Public Accountant, be and is hereby appointed liquidator of the company.

LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDER INCREASING THE TOTAL NUMBER OF MEMBERS OF THE COUNCIL
NOTICE is hereby given that at a special meeting of the Lower Hutt City Council held on the 10th day of August 1953 the following resolution was passed and was duly confirmed at the ordinary meeting of the Council held on the 14th day of September 1953.
‘In exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 148 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1933, the Lower Hutt City Council resolves by way of special order that the total number of members of the Council shall be increased from twelve (12) exclusive of the Mayor to fifteen (15) exclusive of the Mayor as from the 31st day of October 1953, and the number of Councillors to be elected on the said 31st day of October 1953 shall be elected in accordance with the provisions of this special order.’

NOTICE OF CHANGE OF SURNAME
I, GERTRUDE BLANCHE HOWELL, of 35 Awa Street, Otahuhu, Feme-sole, give public notice that I have assumed and from henceforth on all occasions intend to sign and use and to be called and be known by the name of ALLEN in place of my name HowELL, and further that such intended change of name is formally declared and evidenced by a deed poll under my hand and seal bearing date the 9th day of September 1953 and enrolled in the Registry of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, at Auckland, on the 10th day of September 1953.
In witness whereof I now sign and subscribe by my intended future name.

RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Raglan County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“ That the special rate of 0.2198d. in the pound on the unimproved rateable value resolved by the Council on 24 September 1951 and published in the N.Z. Gazette of 11 October 1951, page 1513, be increased to 0.2268d. in the pound on the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property comprising the whole of the County of Raglan. Such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan or until the loan is fully repaid.”
The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Raglan County Council held on the 24th day of August 1953.
