AUCKLAND ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

General Extension and Improvement Loan 1952, of £42,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Auckland Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £42,000, known as the General Extension and Improvement Loan 1952, of £42,000, being the balance of an authorized loan of £500,000 for the general extension and improvement of the electricity supply undertaking in the Auckland Electric Power District, the Auckland Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one one hundred and fifteenth of a penny (1/15d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value on the basis of capital value of all rateable property in the Auckland Electric Power District, comprising the City of Auckland, together with the Boroughs of Ellerslie, Howick, Onehunga, Otahuhu, Manurewa, Mount Albert, Mount Eden, Mount Roskill, Mount Wellington, One Tree Hill, Newmarket, Papakura, and Papatoetoe, the Road District of Panmure, and the County of Manukau, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.''

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Auckland Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

"That for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £200,000, known as the General Extension and Improvement Loan 1953, of £200,000, for the purpose of providing further reticulation on the Auckland Electric Power District, the Auckland Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one twenty-fifth of a penny (1/25d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value on the basis of capital value of all rateable property in the Auckland Electric Power District, comprising the City of Auckland, together with the Boroughs of Ellerslie, Howick, Manurewa, Mount Albert, Mount Eden, Mount Roskill, Mount Wellington, Newmarket, Onehunga, One Tree Hill, Otahuhu, Papakura, Papatoetoe, the Road District of Panmure, and the County of Manukau, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off.''

HOARE AND CURRIE MOTOR ENGINEERS, LIMITED

IN LIQUIDATION

In the matter of the Companies Act 1933, and in the matter of Hoare and Currie Motor Engineers, Limited.

NOTICE is herby given that at a meeting of the above-named company, held at Upper Hutt on the 3rd day of August 1953, the following extraordinary resolution was passed, and the appointment of the liquidator was confirmed at a subsequent meeting of creditors held on the 12th day of August 1953.

"That the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business and that the company be wound up voluntary and that John Aspinall McCulloch, Public Accountant, of Upper Hutt, be and is hereby appointed liquidator, such appointment to be confirmed at a meeting of creditors of the company to be held for that purpose.''

RICCARTON BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Security Rate

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Riccarton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £41,000 authorized to be raised by the Riccarton Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of acquiring certain assets from the State Hydro-electric Department and extending the Council's reticulation system, the said Riccarton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one decimal three three three (1.333) pence in the pound on the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Riccarton, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.''

The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Riccarton Borough Council held on the 31st day of August 1953.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the Matter of the Public Works Act 1928

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Waipa County Council proposes to execute a certain public work, to wit, the construction of a road, for which purpose the lands described in the Schedule hereto require to be taken by the Waipa County Council under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928.

A plan of the lands proposed to be taken as aforesaid is open for inspection at the office of the Waipa County Council, Bank Street, Te Awamutu.

All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well founded objections to the execution of such work or the taking of such lands and to send such writing to the Waipa County Council, Bank Street, Te Awamutu, within 40 days from the date of the first publication of this notice.
