or limit his general executive and administrative authority in
so preserving Her Majesty's rights and sovereignty and the
laws and regulations in force in the Dependency in the same
manner, and with the same powers and authorities, as the
various executive and administrative authorities have in New
Zealand for carrying out and enforcing the laws of New
Zealand: To hold that office and exercise the duties thereof
during pleasure.

General, as the Governor of the Ross Dependency,

Major James Reginald Stone, E.D., from the Reserve of
Officers, Regimental List, 1st Field Regiment, R.N.Z.A., is
granted a short-service commission for a period of eighteen
months as from 13 July 1953 in the rank of Lieutenant-
Colonel, and is appointed United Nations Military Observer in
Kashmir. Dated 13 July 1953.

Quartermaster) J.G. Gilberd to be Captain and Quartermaster.
