ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of
August 1953
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 10 of the National Parks Act 1952,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby
declares that the lands described in the Schedule hereto, being
lands subject to the Scenery Preservation Act 1908, shall as
from the date hereof be added to and form part of the
Egmont National Park, and shall hereafter be managed,
administered, and dealt with by the Egmont National Park
Board in accordance with the provisions of the first-mentioned
Act.

SECTIONS 3 and 4, Block VII, Cape Survey District: Area,
522 acres, more or less. All certificate of title, Volume 102,

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency
the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the
assignment to Eric Hugh Puklowski, of Tutaki, Murchison,
Farmer, by John Richard Marris, of Tutaki, Murchison,
Farmer, of his rights, powers, and privileges under an Order
in Council dated the 11th day of February 1942 and published
in the New Zealand Gazette on the 12th day of the same
month at page 497, authorizing him to use water for the
purpose of generating electricity.

Consenting to the Acquisition of an Aerodrome Site by the
Cromwell Borough Council

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authority
vested in him by the Local Authorities Empowering
(Aviation Encouragement) Act 1929, His Excellency the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
by and with the consent of the Executive Council of the said
Dominion, doth hereby consent to the acquisition by the
Cromwell Borough Council of the land described in the
Schedule hereto and to the maintenance of the aerodrome
thereon.

PART Section 17, Block III, Cromwell Survey District: Area,
101 acres 2 roods 12.5 perches, more or less, part certificate of
title, Volume 57, folio 79, subject to registered lease No. 9557,
as outlined in red on plan deposited in the Aerodrome Section,

Boundaries of City of Napier and County of Hawke's Bay

Present:
THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS pursuant to section 137 of the Municipal
Corporations Act 1933 the Napier City Council pre-
sented a petition to the Governor-General praying that a
certain area of land be excluded from the County of Hawke's
Bay and included in the City of Napier:
And whereas pursuant to section 24 of the Local Government
Commission Act 1946 the said petition was referred to
the Local Government Commission:
And whereas the Napier City Council and the Hawke's
Bay County Council requested the Local Government Com-
mission to consider a proposal that a certain further area be
excluded from the County of Hawke's Bay and included in
the City of Napier:
And whereas pursuant to the Local Government Commission
Act 1946 the Local Government Commission has approved
as final a scheme bearing date the 15th day of July 1953
providing for the exclusion of the area described in the
Schedule to the said scheme from the County of Hawke's Bay
and the inclusion of that area in the City of Napier:
And whereas it is deemed expedient to give effect
to the final scheme as hereinafter appearing:
Now, therefore, pursuant to the Local Government Commission
Act 1946, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council,
hereby declares that as on and from the 1st day of October
1953 the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be excluded
from the County of Hawke's Bay and included in the City
of Napier, and, with the like advice and consent, hereby also
declares that the alteration of boundaries of the said city and
the said county hereinbefore made shall be deemed to have
been effected under the Municipal Corporations Act 1933.
SCHEDULE
AREA EXCLUDED FROM THE COUNTY OF HAWKE'S BAY AND
INCLUDED IN THE CITY OF NAPIER
ALL that area in the Hawke's Bay Land District containing
approximately 530 acres, situated in Blocks IV and VIII,
Heretaunga Survey District, and bounded as follows: Com-
mencing at the most eastern corner of Lot 12 on the plan
numbered 6257, deposited in the office of the District Land
Registrar at Napier, being a point on the boundary of the
City of Napier as described in the New Zealand Gazette of
12 July 1951 at page 985; thence south-westerly along the
south-eastern boundary of the said Lot 12, across Geddis
Avenue, along the south-eastern boundaries of Lots 25 and
46 on the said plan numbered 6257, across Barnard Avenue,
along the south-eastern boundary of Lot 45 on the said plan
numbered 6257 to the southernmost corner of the said Lot
45; thence north-westerly along the south-western boundaries
of Lots 45, 44, 42, 40, and 36 on the said plan numbered 6257
to a public road (Ellison Street Extension); thence south-
westerly along the south-eastern side of the said road to
Riverbend Road; thence southerly along the eastern side of
the said Riverbend Road to a point in line with the south-
western boundary of Lot 1 on the plan numbered 493, deposited
as aforesaid; thence northerly across Riverbend Road to and
along the south-western boundary of the said Lot 1 and that
boundary produced to the centre of Meeanee Drain; thence
again north-westerly along the centre of the said Meeanee
Drain to the south-western corner of Lot 7 on the plan num-
bered 7382, deposited as aforesaid, being also a point on the
boundary of the City of Napier, described as aforesaid; thence
generally north-easterly and south-easterly along the said
boundary of the City of Napier to the point of commencement.
