Authorizing the Laying-off of a Street off Tudor Street in the Borough of Motueka, Subject to a Condition as to the Building Line
C. W. M. NORRIE, Governor-General ORDER IN COUNCIL At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 24th day of August 1953 Present: THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL PURSUANT to section 31 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act 1948 and section 125 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorizes the Motueka Borough Council to permit the laying-off of the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto at a width for part of its length of less than 66 ft., but not less than 50 ft., subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land shown edged green on the plan marked P.W.D. 140475, referred to in the Schedule hereto, within a distance of 48 ft. from the centre line of the said street.
SCHEDULE THAT proposed street in the Nelson Land District, Borough of Motueka, to be known as Wilkinson Street, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 31·4 perches, more or less, being part of Sections 152 and 153, Motueka District, and part Section 17, Block IV, Motueka Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 140475, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

The North-eastern Side of Portion of Selwyn Road, in the Borough of Lyttelton, Exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928, Subject to a Condition as to the Building Line
C. W. M. NORRIE, Governor-General ORDER IN COUNCIL At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 24th day of August 1953 Present: THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL PURSUANT to section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby approves of the following resolution passed by the Lyttelton Borough Council on the 27th day of July 1953 in so far as it affects the side and portion of street described in the Schedule hereto, viz., 'The Lyttelton Borough Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the Borough of Lyttelton, by resolution declares that the provisions of section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928 shall not apply to the north-eastern side of the portion of Selwyn Road adjoining part of Rural Section 40, being the whole of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 85, folio 88 (Canterbury Registry)'; subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the north-eastern side of the portion of Selwyn Road (described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of 19 ft. 6 in. from the centre line of the said portion of street.
SCHEDULE The north-eastern side of all that portion of street situated in the Canterbury Land District, Borough of Lyttelton, known as Selwyn Road, fronting part Rural Section 40. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 140975, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

East Taupo Domains Board Appointed to Have Control of the Motutere Bay Domain

NORRIE, Governor-General ORDER IN COUNCIL At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of August 1953 Present: HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL PURSUANT to section 44 of the Public Reserves and Domains Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby appoints The Commissioner of Crown Lands for the South Auckland Land District, ex officio, The Resident Engineer, Ministry of Works, Rotorua, ex officio, The Conservator of Wild Life, Department of Internal Affairs, Rotorua, ex officio, One Commissioner of the Taupo Town Board, ex officio, Laurence Hecla Cheal, James Donald Swan, and Ralph Horatio Ward to be the East Taupo Domains Board, having control of the Motutere Bay Domain described in the Schedule hereto; and hereby appoints Tuesday, the 8th day of September 1953, at 11 o'clock a.m. as the time when, and the offices of the Taupo Town Board, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.
SCHEDULE SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT---MOTUTERE BAY DOMAIN SECTION 1, Block II, Tokaanu Survey District: Area, 6 acres 1 rood 35 perches, more or less. Subject to right-of-way 100 links wide along the edge of Lake Taupo created by section 14 subsection 3 of the Maori Land Amendment and Maori Land Claims Adjustment Act 1926. Subject to the reservations and conditions imposed by section 59 of the Land Act 1948. (S.O. plan 36310.)

Vesting a Reserve in the Waitomo County Council C. W. M. NORRIE, Governor-General ORDER IN COUNCIL At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of August 1953 Present: HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart as a reserve for a site for a community centre: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Waitomo: Now, therefore, pursuant to section 9 of the Public Reserves and Domains Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that from and after the day of the date hereof the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Waitomo, in trust, for a site for a community centre.
SCHEDULE TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT SECTION 18, Block VIII, Totoro Survey District: Area, 2 acres 2 roods 0·8 perch, more or less. Subject to the reservations and conditions imposed by section 59 of the Land Act 1948. (S.O. plan 8576.)

Recreation Reserve in South Auckland Land District Brought Under Part II of the Public Reserves and Domains Act 1928 C. W. M. NORRIE, Governor-General ORDER IN COUNCIL At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of August 1953 Present: HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL PURSUANT to section 34 of the Public Reserves and Domains Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the reserve for recreation in the South Auckland Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act, and such reserve shall hereafter be known as the Motutere Bay Domain, and shall be managed, administered, and dealt with as a public domain.
