NOTICE is given that, under regulation 6 of the Tuberculosis Regulations 1951 the following medical practitioners additional to those contained in New Zealand Gazette No. 59 dated 13 October 1949, page 2453, and No. 26 dated 4 May 1950, page 530, and No. 36 dated 3 May 1951, page 622, and No. 23 dated 20 March 1952, page 416, and No. 72 dated 13 November 1952, page 1857, have been approved as qualified to perform vaccinations against tuberculosis in accordance with the provisions of the aforesaid regulations:

Notice to Mariners No. 52 of 1953
NEW ZEALAND--SOUTH ISLAND--MAPUA
Alteration in Colour of Outer Leading Light
FROM 1 July 1953, the rear lighted beacon marking the outer channel entrance to Mapua, will be altered to show a flashing 'green' light. The characteristics remain unchanged.

(a) 'Ra Refl' is to be inserted against the light-buoy, painted black and exhibiting a red flashing light in position 36° 46'7' S., 174° 48'5' E.
(b) 'Ra Refl' shown against the black buoy about 11 cables 163° from (a) is to be expunged.

Notice to Mariners No. 54 of 1953
NEW ZEALAND--SOUTH ISLAND--OTAGO UPPER HARBOUR
Dredging in Progress
(Former N.Z. Notice to Mariners No. 44/53 hereby cancelled)
DREDGING operations are being carried out in Victoria Channel, commencing at Dunedin, for the purpose of widening and deepening the channel to 24 feet L.W. with a bottom width of 250 feet on the straights and 300 to 400 feet on the bends.
Channel piles will be drawn as necessary and replaced approximately 25 feet further back as dredging proceeds.
Mooring are laid in the vicinity and mariners should proceed with caution when entering or leaving the port and passing the dredger.
