Allocating Railway Land to the Purposes of Street in the
Borough of Green Island

A PROCLAMATION
P URSUANT to section 226 of the Public Works Act 1928,
I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke
Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim
and declare that the land which is described in the Schedule
hereto (and which was taken for the purpose of the Waitaki-
Bluff railway and is not now required for that purpose) shall,
upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette,
become street; and that such street shall be maintained by the
Green Island Borough Council in like manner as other public
highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land dealt with: 1 rood
31 perches.
Being part railway land in Proclamation 1308, and being part
Sections 38 and 263R.

that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the
