Authorizing the Laying-off of a Street off Hargood Street
in the City of Christchurch, Subject to Conditions as to
the Building-lines

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 5th day of
May 1953

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 31 of the Municipal Corporations
Amendment Act 1948 and section 125 of the Public
Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council,
hereby authorizes the Christchurch City Council to permit
the laying-off of the proposed street described in the Schedule
hereto at a width for part of its length of less than 66 ft.,
but not less than 50 ft., subject to the condition that no
building or part of a building shall at any time be erected
on Lots 2, 3, 6, and 7, of a subdivision of the land adjoining
the said street (as shown on the plan marked P.W.D. 140016,
referred to in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of 40 ft.
from the centre-line of the said street, or on Lots 10 to
25 inclusive of the said subdivision within a distance of
48 ft. from the centre-line of the said street.

SCHEDULE

THAT proposed street in the Canterbury Land District, City
of Christchurch, containing by admeasurement 3 roods 28.1
perches, more or less, being part Lot 75, D.P. 39, being
part Rural Section 39.

As the same is more particularly delineated on the
plan marked P.W.D. 140016, deposited in the office of the
Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Appointment of Kowai Domain Board Revoked

THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated the 29th day of
November 1944 and published in the New Zealand
Gazette of the 1st day of December of that year a Domain
Board was appointed to have control of the Kowai Domain
therein described:

And whereas it is expedient that the said Order in Council
should be revoked:

Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (2) of section 44
of the Public Reserves and Domains Act 1928, His Excellency
the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, hereby revokes the Order in Council
hereinbefore referred to.

Domain Board Appointed to Have Control of the Makarori
Beach Domain

THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 48 of the Public Reserves and
Domains Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General,
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council, hereby appoints

The Cook County Council

to be the Makarori Beach Domain Board, having control of
the land described in the Schedule hereto, and hereby appoints
Thursday, the 25th day of June 1953, at 2 o’clock p.m., as
the time when, and the Cook County Council Chambers,
Gisborne, as the place where, the first meeting of the board
shall be held.

SCHEDULE

GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT—MAKARORI BEACH DOMAIN

ALL those areas situated in Block IVA, Turanganui Survey
District, containing by admeasurement a total of 18 acres
and 36 perches, more or less, being Lots 24, 25, 36, and 65
as shown on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at
Gisborne under No. 3963, being part Pouawa No. 1 Block.

Appointment of the Wangapeka Domain Board Revoked

WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated the 22nd day of
February 1950 and published in the New Zealand
Gazette of the 2nd day of March 1950, a Domain Board was
appointed to have control of the Wangapeka Domain therein
described:

And whereas it is expedient that the said Order in Council
should be revoked:

Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (2) of section 44 of
the Public Reserves and Domains Act 1928, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, hereby revokes the Order in Council
hereinbefore referred to.

Domains Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General,
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council, hereby appoints

Victor Clayton Flight,
Roy William Harvey,
Wilfred Clarence London,
John Thomas McDonald,
Frank Needham, and
William Arthur Sutherland,

to be the Motuoapa Bay Domain Board, having control of the
land described in the Schedule hereto; and hereby appoints
Saturday, the 9th day of May 1953, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., as
the time when, and Mr. F. Needham’s residence, Motuoapa Bay,
as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT—MOTUOAPA BAY DOMAIN

SECTION 29, Motuopa Town, situated in Block III, Tokaanu
Survey District: Area, 1 acre 2 roods 36.8 perches, more or
less. Subject to the reservations and conditions imposed by
section 59 of the Land Act 1948. (S.O. plan 27864.)
