Pursuant to the proviso to section 90 of the Education Act 1914 as amended by section 10 of the Education Amendment Act 1952, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders as follows.
ORDER
The constitution of the Board of Governors of the Hastings High School is hereby varied so that the Board of Governors shall hereafter be constituted as follows:--
(a) One member to be appointed by the Hawke's Bay Education Board;
(b) Four members to be elected by the parents of the pupils;
(c) One member to be appointed by the Governor-General.
(d) One member to be appointed by the Hastings Borough Council;
(e) One member to be appointed by the Havelock North Borough Council;
(f) One member to be appointed by the Hawke's Bay County Council;

Pursuant to section 9 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby directs that the width of the proposed service-lane described in the Schedule hereto shall be less than 12 ft. but not less than 10 ft.
SCHEDULE
THAT proposed service-lane in the City of Lower Hutt, containing by admeasurement 20.78 perches, being Lot 14, D.P. 13901, and being part Section 28, Hutt District, and being part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 550, folio 144 (Wellington Land Registry).

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorizes Holland and Hannen and Cubitts (New Zealand), Limited, a duly incorporated company having its registered office at Wellington, and Conrad Zschokke, SocietΓ© Anonyme, of Geneva,
Switzerland (hereinafter referred to as the licensees), subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto.
CONDITIONS
IMPLIEd CONDITIONS
- The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated in and shall form part of this licence, except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.
LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS
2. The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the licensees with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference Regulations 1934, and with all regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor respectively.
SYSTEM OF SUPPLY
3. The system of supply shall be as described in paragraphs (a) and (f) of regulation 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935. The normal rated pressure of the primary distribution lines shall be 11,000 volts.
DURATION OF LICENCE
4. This licence shall, unless sooner lawfully determined, continue in force until the 31st day of March 1958.
SCHEDULE
LINES for the supply of electrical energy by the system of supply hereinbefore described--
(1) Within those areas in the County of Tuapeka shown outlined in red on the plan marked S.H.D. 236, deposited in the office of the State Hydro-electric Department at Wellington, and
(2) In, on, over, or under that portion of the bed of the Clutha River lying between the aforesaid areas;
the lines at present proposed to be erected and used being shown by means of green lines and broken green lines on the plan marked S.H.D. 235, deposited as aforesaid.

Authorizing the Laying-off of a Street Off Kauri Glen Road in the Borough of Birkenhead, Subject to a Condition as to the Building-line

THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to section 31 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act 1948 and section 125 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorizes the Birkenhead Borough Council to permit the laying-off of the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto at a width for parts of its length of less than 66 ft., but not less than 50 ft., subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land shown edged green on the plan marked P.W.D. 139999, referred to in the said Schedule, within a distance of 48 ft. from the centre-line of the said street.
SCHEDULE
THAT proposed street in the North Auckland Land District, Borough of Birkenhead, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods 20.8 perches, more or less, being parts Allotment 3, Parish of Takapuna. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 139999, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
