Land Subject to the Housing Act 1919 Declared Crown Land
Available for Reservation Under the Land Act 1948

A PROCLAMATION

Pursuant to subsection (1) of section 8 of the Housing Amendment Act 1940, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare the land described in the Schedule hereto, being land subject to the Housing Act 1919, to be Crown land available for reservation under the Land Act 1948.

SCHEDULE

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

All that area situated in Block XII, Purua Survey District, containing by admeasurement 11 acres 2 roods 13 perches, more or less, being Lot 1 as shown on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Auckland under No. 34026, being part Allotment 1, Parish of Whangarei, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 883, folio 157 (Auckland Registry).

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 30th day of April 1953.

Declaring Lands in Canterbury Land District, Vested in the Canterbury Education Board as a Site for a Public School, to be Vested in Her Majesty the Queen

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS by subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education Lands Act 1949 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) it is provided that, notwithstanding anything contained in any other Act, the Governor-General may from time to time, by Proclamation, declare that any school-site or part of a school-site which in his opinion is no longer required for that purpose shall be vested in Her Majesty; and thereupon the school-site, or part thereof, as the case may be, shall vest in Her Majesty freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date of the Proclamation:

Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (6) of section 5 of the said Act, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto, being areas vested in the Canterbury Education Board as a site for a public school, shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date hereof.

SCHEDULE

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT

All that area situated in Block XV, Pigeon Bay Survey District, containing by admeasurement 1Β·2 perches, more or less, being part Rural Section 11153, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 414, folio (limited as to parcels), (Canterbury Registry.

Also all that area situated in Block XV, Pigeon Bay Survey District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, being part Rural Section 5703, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 414, folio 283 (limited as to parcels), (Canterbury Registry).

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 30th day of April 1953.

Land Reserved Under the Scenery Preservation Act 1908

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act 1908 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), has recommended that the land described in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved for scenic and historic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:

Now, therefore, pursuant to the said Act, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be a scenic and historic reserve under the said Act, and subject to the provisions thereof.

SCHEDULE

MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT

Sections 18 and 19, Block XXI, Hundalee Survey District: Area, 7 acres 3 roods 23 perches, more or less. (S.O. plan 3943.)

A PROCLAMATION

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the additional land described in the First Schedule hereto is hereby taken for purposes of the Wellington - New Plymouth (Palmerston North Deviation) railway, and that the land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a road diversion in connection therewith.

FIRST SCHEDULE

FOR RAILWAY

Approximate area of the piece of additional land taken: 2 roods 30 perches.

Being part Lot 12, Block I, D.P. 2848, being part Section 11, Karere Block; coloured orange, edged orange.

Situated in Block XIII, Kairanga Survey District, Kairanga County. (S.O. 22838.)

SECOND SCHEDULE

FOR ROAD DIVERSION

Approximate area of the piece of land taken: 13Β·3 perches.

Being part Lot 12, Block 1, D.P. 2848, being part Section 11, Karere Block; coloured orange.

Situated in Block XIII, Kairanga Survey District, Kairanga County. (S.O. 22838.)

In the Wellington Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 12124, deposited in the office of the New Zealand Railways Commission at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 30th day of April 1953.

A PROCLAMATION

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for railway purposes; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 11th day of May 1953.

SCHEDULE

Approximate area of the piece of Crown land set apart: 1 acre.

Being Lots 5, 8, 9, and 10, Block III, D.P. 98A, being part Section 320, Block 1, Hokonui Survey District, and being part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 168, folio 166 (Southland Land Registry).

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 24th day of April 1953.
