Carrier, but now of Tirau, Carrier, named and registered in the
Register of Births as NOEL THOMAS KELLY-SNOOK, hereby give
public notice that on the 5th day of November 1952 by deed-poll
then duly executed by me and on the 13th day of November 1952
enrolled with the Registrar of the Supreme Court at Hamilton as
No. G.R. 3168 I formally and absolutely renounced the use of my
said surname of KELLY-SNOOK and in lieu thereof assumed and
adopted the surname of KELLY.

In the matter of the Companies Act 1933, and in the name of
the GALATEA TIMBER Co., LIMITED.

A T an extraordinary meeting of the members of the above-named
company, duly convened and held at the office of the Secretary,
Heaton Buildings, Fenton Street, Rotorua, on Monday, the 10th
day of November 1952, the following extraordinary resolution was
duly passed :—

“ That as the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue
its business and that, as it is advisable to wind up, the company
be wound up voluntarily.”

At a meeting of creditors duly convened and held at the Supper-
room, Municipal Chambers, Rotorua, on Tuesday, the 11th day of
November 1952, the following resolution was passed :—

MAKERUA DRAINAGE BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING SPECIAL RATE

Machinery Loan 1952

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the
Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926 the Makerua Drainage Board
hereby resolves as follows :—

"That, for the purpose of providing for payment of interest
and repayment of principal and other charges on the Machinery
Loan, 1952, authorized to be raised by the Makerua Drainage Board
under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing
drain-cleaning machinery, the Makerua Drainage Board hereby
makes and levies the special differential rates on the rateable value
(on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in
the whole of the Makerua Drainage District : On lands classified
“A” four-eights (4/8) of a penny in the pound ; on lands classified
“B” three-eights (3/8) of a penny in the pound ; on lands classified
“C” two-eights (2/8) of a penny in the pound ; And that such special
rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such
loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of February in each
and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period
of eight (8) years from the 1st day of December 1952, or until the
loan is fully paid off."
