WAIAPO COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

NOTICE is hereby given that the Waipu County Council,
acting under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928,
proposes to execute a public work—namely, to take land for road—
and for the purposes of such work the lands described in the
Schedule hereto are required to be taken.

Notice is hereby further given that plans of the lands required
to be taken are deposited in the office of the Waipu County Council
at Te Puia and at the offices of Messrs. Nolan and Skeet, Solicitors,
Childers Road, Gisborne, and are open for inspection by all persons
during office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of such public works who
have any well-founded ground of objection thereto must state
their objection in writing and deliver the same to the Clerk of the
Waipu County Council at Te Puia within forty days from the first
publication of this notice.

All the above-described lands are situated in the County of
Waipu, Gisborne Land Registration District, and the plans referred
to are deposited in the Survey Office at Gisborne.

CHANGE OF NAME OF COMPANY

NOTICE is hereby given that MOKAUITI FARMS, LIMITED, has
changed its name to GREEN VALLEY FARMS, LIMITED, and
that the new name was this day entered on my Register of
Companies in place of the former name.

OAMARU BOROUGH COUNCIL

CERTIFIED COPY OF SPECIAL RESOLUTION

Building Re-construction Loan 1948, of £3,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local
Bodies' Loans Act 1926 and of all other powers and authorities
thereunto it enabling the Oamaru Borough Council hereby resolves
as follows :—

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £3,000, authorized to be raised by the Oamaru
Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for reconstructing
the Athenaeum Building and for works and purchases incidental
thereto, the Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of
thirteen one-hundredths of a penny (0·13d.) in the pound (£) upon
the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all
rateable property in the Borough of Oamaru ; and that such special
rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such
loan and be payable half-yearly on the 23rd days of the months
of June and December in each and every year during the currency
of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully
paid off."

I, John Branthwaite, Town Clerk to the Council of the Borough
of Oamaru, hereby certify that the above is a true and correct
copy of a resolution passed at a special meeting of the Oamaru
Borough Council held on the 9th day of October 1952, and that the
same was duly confirmed at an ordinary meeting of the said Council
held on the 6th day of November 1952.

NOTICE OF VOLUNTARY WINDING-UP

NOTICE is hereby given pursuant to section 222 of the Com-
panies Act 1933 that on the 10th day of November 1952
the above-named company by entry in its minute-book duly signed
passed the following resolution:—

"That Tawa Boric, Limited, be wound up voluntarily."

AKAROA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Housing Loan 1951, £5,300

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf
by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926 and amendments thereto,
the Akaroa County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £5,300, authorized to be raised by the Akaroa
County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose
of erecting workers’ dwellings, the said Akaroa County Council
hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-eighteenth of a penny
(1/8d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all the rateable
property comprising the whole of the County of Akaroa, and such
special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency
of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September
in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being for
a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is wholly paid
off."

BOROUGH OF MOUNT ALBERT

CERTIFIED COPY OF RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE AS SECURITY
FOR THE MOUNT ALBERT ROAD WORKS AND GENERAL DEVELOP-
MENT LOAN, £250,000, PASSED BY THE MOUNT ALBERT BOROUGH
COUNCIL ON TUESDAY THE 11TH DAY OF NOVEMBER 1952.

Road Works and General Development Loan 1952, £250,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf
by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Mount Albert
Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £250,000 (two hundred and fifty thousand
pounds) Road Works and General Development Loan 1952, £250,000,
authorized to be raised by the Mount Albert Borough Council under
the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of carrying out road works
and general development, the said Mount Albert Borough Council
hereby makes and levies a special rate of twenty-six one-hundredths
of a penny (0·26d.) in the pound upon the rateable value on the
basis of the capital value of all rateable property in the Borough
of Mount Albert; and that such special rate shall be an annually
recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable
yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the
currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the
loan is fully paid off."

Given under the common seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and
Burgesses of the Borough of Mount Albert, this 11th day of
November 1952.

North, Public Accountant, be appointed liquidator of the company.
