Lands Reserved Under the Scenery Preservation Act 1908

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act 1908 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), has recommended that the lands described in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:
Now, therefore, pursuant to the said Act, I, Sir Humphrey Francis O’Leary, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be scenic reserves under the said Act, and subject to the provisions thereof.
SCHEDULE
HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT
SECTION 16, Block XVI, Weber Survey District: Area, 1 acre 2 roods, more or less. (S.O. plan 1223.)

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT
Section 20, Block VII, Mapara Survey District: Area, 140 acres 1 rood 15 perches, more or less. (S.O. plan 8459.)

All that area situated in Block IX, Mount Cerberus Survey District, containing by admeasurement 2 roods 30 perches, more or less, being Section 17 and part Section 16, Block IX, Pongaroa Township. A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928 and section 47 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, I, Sir Humphrey Francis O’Leary, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, now held for a post-office, is hereby set apart for housing purposes; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 13th day of October 1952.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land set apart: 1 rood.
Being part Section 1, Waipara Township.
Situated in Block I, Teviotdale Survey District (Canterbury R.D.). (S.O. 8508.)
In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 138390, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Sir Humphrey Francis O’Leary, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the portion of public reserve described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for housing purposes; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 13th day of October 1952.

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Sir Humphrey Francis O’Leary, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby revoke the Proclamation dated the 28th day of September 1949, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 58 of the 6th day of October 1949, on page 2404, taking land for better utilization, in so far as it affects the land described in the Schedule hereto, such land being no longer required.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land dealt with: 115 acres 3 roods 9 perches.
Being part Ngarara West B, No. 8, and part Section 1, Tikotu Settlement.
Situated in Block III, Kapiti Survey District. (S.O. 22684.)
In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 138309, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Sir Humphrey Francis O’Leary, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the leasehold estate in the land described in the Schedule hereto (held from Her Majesty the Queen by William Currie, of Horahora, Farmer, under and by virtue of lease under section 4 of the Discharged Soldiers’ Settlement Act 1915, recorded in Register Book, Volume 354, folio 226, Auckland Land Registry) is hereby taken for the development of water-power (Lake Taupo and the Waikato River Power Scheme).
