DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP
NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership heretofore
subsisting between ARCHIBALD MCKAY and NEAL DANIEL
McGETTIGAN, carrying on business at 12 Rope Street, Christchurch,
as Furniture Manufacturers, under the style of "Christchurch
Furniture Company" has dissolved as from the lst day of July
1952. The business will in future be carried on alone by the said
NEAL DANIEL McGETTIGAN under the above firm name.

has, pursuant to section 70 of the Friendly Societies Act 1909,
by writing under his hand dated this 18th day of September 1952,
cancelled the registry of Hampden Lodge, No. 19, of the Grand Lodge
of Otago and Southland, New Zealand, of the United Ancient Order
of Druids Friendly Society (Register No. 298/19), held at Hampden,
on the ground that the said branch has ceased to exist.

TE KUITI BOROUGH COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
THE Body Corporate the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of
the Borough of Te Kuiti, acting by and through the Te Kuiti
Borough Council, hereby gives public notice that, in pursuance of
the powers conferred on it by section 168 of the Municipal Corporations
Act 1933 and section 11 of the Public Works Act 1928, it intends to
take for the purpose of a war memorial, being a public work within
the meaning of the Public Works Act 1928, the piece of land described
in the Schedule hereto.
All persons having any well-grounded objections to the execution
of such works or the taking of such lands are required to send such
objections in writing to the said Te Kuiti Borough Council within
forty days of the first publication of this notice.
SCHEDULE
ALL that piece of land containing 19·8 perches, a little more or less,
being lots 3 and 4 on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at
Auckland under No. 4795 and being part of Section 22 of the village
of Te Kuiti and being all the land in certificate of title, Volume 1039,
folio 143 (Auckland Registry), subject to the restrictions imposed by
section 248 of the Maori Land Act 1931.

Public Works Act 1928.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Featherston County Council
proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts
to execute a certain public works-namely, the realignment and
widening of a public road-and for the purposes of such public work
the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken :
and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required
to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Clerk to the said
Council, situate at Kitchener Street, Martinborough, and is open for
inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work
or by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded objections
to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said
lands must state their objections in writing and send the same within
forty days from the first publication of this notice to the County Clerk
at the Council Chambers, Kitchener Street, Martinborough.

BULLER ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf
by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Buller Electric-power
Board hereby resolves as follows :-
"That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest,
and other charges of the loan of £4,910, authorized to be raised by
the Buller Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act for
the purpose of the purchase or construction of buildings and purchase
of miscellaneous plant and equipment the said Buller Electric-power
Board hereby raises and levies a special rate of one penny and
decimal four one of a penny (1·41d.) in the pound upon the rateable
value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of
the Buller Electric-power Board District comprising the whole of
the County of Buller and the Borough of Westport, and that such
special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of
such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and
every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of
twenty-four years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
The said special rate is the same rate made and levied by the
said Board on the 15th day of March 1951 and the 13th day of
March 1952, and not additional thereto.
